BEWARE - what you see is not always what you get. The ads in their on-line catalog do not always have notes or dis-claimers so you can't tell if what you are ordering is what they are selling. Call first and check because they are not customer friendly after the sale.

RIPPED OFF! PAID 32 DAYS AGO- NO PRODUCT. CONTACTING YAHOO, CREDIT CARD COMPANY. WONDER WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON AT YAHOO? DON'T THEY CHECK PEOPLE OUT?

Another dissatisfied customer. I got my referral from Yahoo as well (first and last). Shipped one tenth of order and charged full price. Said they made an error in their advertisement and offered a 15% discount. Not likely. Now I have to contact my Credit Card company and try and reverse the charges. Looks like a scam to me.

Ordered a small tool. Never recieved it. There is no phone number for customet service. They will only respond by e-mail. The more insitent you get by e-mail, the less responsive they become, even attempting to send you in the wrong direction to get you off their back.

Now going to sea leaving the wife with a broken car.

I did business with this company and am VERY SORRY!

How do businesses like this stay open? They post no phone number and suggest they'll give it to you if you ask by email. It doesn't happen. Communication was so poor that I am getting stuff that won't work for me (thanks in part to my taking the advice they offered by email that the part they stocked was compatible with my equipment). Suggest you shop elsewhere as there are many better choices.

I figured this guy probably works out of his garage. You can go to Google Maps with the above address and get a load of his business, which looks to probably be his garage. I suspect he just drop ships stuff and doesn't even have the toll free number he alleges.

I order from these guys all the time, 10 orders in the past never had any problems, are they answering your emails?

So far I'm not pleased with S&J. I ordered an SK Tools microtorque screwdriver on Feb 4th. Received it on Feb 9th. It didn't work properly when I used it the following weekend so I called SK and they said to exchange it through S&J.

That's when I noticed that S&J does not have a contact phone number! I was so happy about the great price I failed to do proper research on them. I won't do business with a company that discourages direct contact.

I emailed them through the website about the problem on Feb 17th and received a response from Jeff the same day. Replied to the email on Feb 19th for an update since I want to exchange the defective tool. They did not respond. EMailed them again on Feb 23rd and received an apology stating they're "Checking with their returns department".

Emailed them twice on Feb 24th and received a response from Scott apologizing again and stating he would contact returns.

I've figured that S&J is Scott and Jeff and the Returns Dept. is probably one of them.

I called SK Tools this AM and they said I can send the tool back to them for exchange. That call took me 5 minutes.

I'll post an update once this is resolved, but so far I'm not pleased with just apologies and lack of action on S&J's part.

I ordered a few items from SJ discount tools. After a few days, I receive shipping information that says all items shipped, I am missing one big ticket item (250.00) the rest wer small 10-20 dollar items.

I emailed stating that the item was NOT in the box, and their site says it shipped, I've not received a reply, so I called the number listed on my credit card statement, S & J'S DISCOUNT TOOLS 740-548-0594 MERCHANDISE , and left a message. I hope to get a callback tomorrow. otherwise it is off to Visa I go to dispute the charge.

I havent had any problems at all with these guys really suprised some of you are we order once a week from them, i get emails within a few minutes of asking, have gotten replys on emails, also i have visited there office, i show it as this address

I am without transportation due to SJ Discount Tool's unethical business practices. I ordered two specialty tools 9 days ago, and expressed the importance via numerous correspondences, and SJ Discount Tools continues to pay games sending bogus tracking details and claiming the order has shipped, although none of the tracking numbers confirm this.

I surely wish I had bought my tools somewhere else!
BTW, My referral came from Google, as this ripoff outfit came up numerous times in the top 5 search results. Time to waste more time contacting the CC company and seeing if I can get a chargeback done...
BUY YOUR TOOLS FROM SOMEONE ELSE! If you place an order with SJ Discount, you'll be sorry... and there's a growing list here on epinions to say "we told you so"
(I wish I'd checked this out before I purchased! ) As stated, I cannot complete the assembly of my vehicle without the tools I ordered, and these scam artists refuse to refund my money and go on to say "we can offer a discount, as we want you to be satisfied" but then tell me they can't cancel an order and that I can refuse it (if it ever ships and then arrives) but will be charged a "restocking" fee!!!

I ordered a candy concentrate from them a couple weeks ago and haven't received it! I sent them an email to get a tracking number at least a week ago and no reply!

Notice the positive posts are from them: the 11/17/06 post is from the registered owner of the URL being questioned.

They have no phone. They do not seem to have product. They take money ... and email back saying "sorry, we'll get right on that," and nothing happens. Steer clear of S&J Discount tools!

I had the same experience . ! Beware of this company !!!

Following up on my February post. S&K Tools took care of me directly since S&J failed to do so. I had a replacement tool shipped at no charge within one week. S&J never followed up as promised.

In my opinion, any company that does not want you to call them directly is hiding something and S&J confirmed that.

Spend your money elsewhere if you want to receive what you paid for.

I ordered for the first time with SJ Discount Tools and our order (a cooling system hydrocarbon test kit) was shipped quickly and arrived intact, and was put into service yesterday without any issues.

On 11/24/09 ordered 13 items and was charged for all 13 items @75.00 but I only received 8 items the other items said were out of stock ,I gave seller 3 weeks to ship remaining items then I asked for refund. seller will not contact me and no credit has been made to my account very very bad customer service and I will never buy from S&J's Discount Tools again!!!(sales@sjdiscounttools.com)

I found SJ Discount tools' website difficult to deal with for the simple reason that it did not list the shipping and handling charges before final checkout. I had seen a price for an order and a total that was the same prior to sending, with shipping listed as zero, which seemed to indicate free shipping. After hitting the 'Send Order' button the shipping price is revealed and was high. I find this practice to be dishonest. So far I have had no luck in canceling my order because they refuse to respond to my communications by Phone, Email (using their syntax) and Fax. I found their phone number (which is not answered) from the BBB.
