Save-On-Crafts

I am in love with Save-On-Crafts. I have placed probably 5+ orders with them and have always been very pleased with their quality of product. I will say their "Chat" does not seem to work. I always call if I have a question, my usual hold time is 10 minutes, but I have always spoke with a representative that was extrememly helpful. I spoke to "Bridget" who says that have grown very quickly, faster than anyone had thought and maybe that is where the C/S problems are coming from. I say give them a chance:)

Different opinion

I've order from save-on-crafts on numerous occasions and have never once had a bad experience. My orders our shipped quickly and packaged nicely so things are not broke. I've never had a problem with service. Just wanted to say good job after all the negative reviews.

Shocked at Horrible Experiences

Our daughter is getting married in one month and I came upon Save-on-Crafts.com by chance and was not only thrilled by their selection, but by their prices. I ordered a "dry run" order a bit back to see how it was going to go. I made sure to order breakables to see how it went. Not only did the order come on time, but everything was packed well, and it all arrived within a reasonable amount of time and was all in perfect shape. I am ready to place the last and final order(about 5 online companies so far without a problem, yet!)and I was looking around for a free shipping coupon online. I came upon this message board and started reading the reviews with my mouth wide open. I was saddened too, esp with those purchasing things online for their wedding because I know how stressful it is to wait and wait for the items to come so you can check them out and think about how they are going to look, etc. I had such wonderful luck with Save-on-Crafts the last time, that I can't justify spending a fortune buying these last few wedding items locally, when I HAVE had good luck on my first order. This order DOES include a bit of glass (12 - 12" round glass table mirrors, a case of 48 wax filled votives) and 12 silk flower 6" round "balls" that I am wondering how they are going to be packed and arrive without being crushed. Also, I am shocked that this order is going to cost me $47 in shipping on a $175 order, but there is weight in the round glass mirrors and a case of 48 wax filled votives, and the order is going from the West Coast to the East Coast. But, I am saving $2.50 on each mirror vs. the next closest price I could find online. I just have to keep my faith in the company that "did me good" the first time. I am sorry to hear about the people that had problems and I am glad that they spoke up, but if you take the number of complaints vs the number of orders they ship out every day, the percentage is small. Yes, not every person puts their displeasure and problems on a message board, as they should, so the true number of bad experiences probably isn't known. I pray that my order comes in one piece. IF not, then I will be the first person to write back to this message board and voice my complaint. And I also will be callig my credit card company and "disputing" my credit card charge if I don't get satisfaction if I have to call www.save-on-crafts.com. I wouldn't wait to be bounced back and forth OR leave messages and never be called back. That's why the credit company has "dispute resolution" departments. I wish everyone the best of luck with orders in the future.

So far, So good!

I placed a fairly large order yesterday...18 birdcages. At first I was shocked at the shipping price, but broken down into a per piece price including shipping they were still ALOT cheaper than I found anywhere else...for example, the big bridal store that everyone knows sells 1 cage to be used as a card box for $50, I got a set of 2 for $22, add shipping and they were all about $17.50 a piece, for 18' and 13' cages!

I stumbled upon this blog looking for a discount code, which I never did find, and almost did not place the order because of the reviews of customer service, live chat, but mostly shipping time. I was able to connect to live chat 3 times right away and was told that ground shipping from CA to PA was about 7 days and that included their processing time. So, I went for it and placed the order around 2pm EST. I received an email confirmation immediately and to my surprise a shipment notification with a tracking # at 5pm EST. I also received an email from UPS at 7pm EST with the tracking #. The shipment is in route and will be delivered next Wednesday...7 days.

So provided that it arrives, I would say that I am 100% pleased with my purchase, the price and the shipping. I will admit that it was hard to swallow the shipping price, but once I did the per piece calculation I was able to get over it!

HORRIBLE...NEVER AGAIN!

Purchased a set of 2 metal floor easels, each easel had a set of 2 pegs that insert into various holes in the legs for adjustable heights. One of the sets was too short to secure the nut on the back securely enough. They sent a replacement set that was even shorter....TWICE! They requested I send pics which I did along with a detailed explanation of what's happening....so I had visual proof of what they were sending! Although they offered to pay for return shipping, packing them back up proved to be too difficult (unfortunately for me, I tossed the box too soon) so I just gave up, decided to ask one last time if they could just send me a good set, they replied that they would be unable to send me what I needed. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY COULD NOT SEND ME A REPLACEMENT FOR A DEFECTIVE PART FOR A PRODUCT THEY SOLD ME!! Seems like such a simple solution but it took way too much of my time, effort & energy. I just decided to eat the cost, use the one easel & make sure I never purchase from them again!!!
