It seems like every year there are more and more of tax software package things, all making basically the same claims in their ads. I've looked around at the different reviews on here but still don't know which are the easiest, fastest, etc. I hate doing taxes and don't mind paying just a little bit if it means getting them done with painlessly.

I've used both TaxCut and TurboTax and they are easy to use, relatively cheap to buy, and do a great job. A lot of time you can purchased them bundled with other software at Staples or Office Max, and they come free with some sort of rebate. Good luck.
