Kitten wetting the bed

We have two kittens (about 12 weeks old) and about once a week or so one of them will wet our bed in the middle of the night. We are not sure which one of them it is or what to do about it. Every night before bed I put them in the litter box. I have even put a night light over their litter boxes. Does anyone have any advice? Please and Thank you, Ruby

Aren't they completely litter box trained? Do you always have to show them the litter box?

If they aren't trained and you have actually had to show them the box, then whoever is wetting the bed may be waiting for you to take them to the box.

Other scenarios:
UTI or kidney problems
Kitten is demanding attention.

I can't think of anything else right now.
When did they see the Vet last?

RE: Kitten wetting the bed

They are completely litter box trained. Wetting the bed just sort of happened so to be sure at night before I went to bed I would show them the litter box - kind of like a reminder to children. I thought about UTI but it is only at night. Do you think it could still be that. I have mentioned this issue to the VET and he seemed to think it was about adjusting but I would think the adjustment period is over. I have figured it out that it is the girl kitten. I see her use the litter box all day long. As for a attention I don't think that is the issue. I have been on vacation all week long and spend everyday with them. It has happened twice this week. I am so confused about this. My husband thinks we should take her water away at night but I don't have the heart.

Has the female been spayed?

Taking her water away won't stop the problem.
I seriously doubt that this is due to an adjustment period.

Are the kittens littermates? How well do they get along? Is the female the less dominant of the two?

RC

P.S. It still could be a UTI
