Books SAP

(Mostly To The CLs)

Quick question: I was looking through the New Products list and noticed there were few (if any) from the book category. Is there a better way for us to get books added to the database so we can review them than the SAPs? Is the lack of books in the New Product listing indicative of a backlog in SAP response or just illustrating a lack of SAPs in Books?

RE: Books SAP

See the thread here, W.L., for some insight. To what's already there, I'll add that the Books SAP (according to pearannoyed) is, like millinocket's Movies SAP, in a state of general disrepair. Same from Music, according to lambchops.

New media items don't appear on that list, or, at least, those added for me never have.

I could be mistaken, but I think that newly-added items only show up if added with the new, post-integration version of the SAP tool. Until a couple of weeks ago, Media categories were still using the old version.

RE: Books SAP

I think Rex is right about the new product listings.

As for the SAP backlog, they're supposed to fix our new SAP tool this week.
