Good luck to new Lead

I just wanted to wish Amy the best with her new title in the Books category. Do pears have thick skin? -Dave

Thanks guys!

It will take me a while to get into the swing of everything, but I know y'all will kick me if I mess anything up.

Feel free to email me anytime... I have an open door policy :)

Congratulations, Amy! I'm sure you're going to do a wonderful job!

Just don't let anyone get near you with a fruit peeler. ;)

Nothing to it, just keep some ear plugs and and a three day supply of food and water handy. Then you can hunker down whenever things get hot.

Of course, you might come to regret that I know your Skype username!

Wow!

I just noticed this. Congrats, Amy! Don't spend all that income in one place (hehehe). So I should just email this excel spreadsheet with all of my SAP requests to you today, right?

Seriously, you're a great choice. Hope you get to have at least a little bit of fun as a lead. :)

You could send it to me, but it won't do any good. My SAP link is there, but not currently working.

RE: Good luck to new Lead

Again, thanks to everyone for your well-wishes. I hope I can live up to expectations :)

Grace will be missed - probably by me as much as anyone - but I do have plans to meet her for a beer one day soon. At that time I'm sure I'll cry on her shoulder about how rotton people are as she chuckles evilly about what she's done to me :)

Just wanted to say a big Welcome to Amy (officially - already emailed her when I noticed!), and a big Thank You to Grace for all the work she's put into the Books category over the years.

Just wanted to add my congratulations to Amy on her new position. I hope that your time as a lead will be most fruitful! (groan...sorry...but all the good pear jokes seemed taken already)

Seriously, I know it's a tough job, but I'm sure you'll be great!

RE: Congratulations!

Thanks again everybody.

Hopefully I'll be more of a presence here now that my computer is working properly. (what lousy timing - I've only been able to get online intermittently for the last week)

See, she's starting the hunkering down already! ;)

Seriously, thanks so much to Grace, and I think Amy is a perfect choice for the job.

I can personally vouch for the computer down time - I not only observed it, but paid dearly for it to end. (can anyone say two new SATA drives and a new computer case?)

good thing Amy and I write for epinions, or we might not have been able to afford those items...

I love that last statement, Bob. It shows that it does pay to write on here. I bought a whole gallon of ice cream with mine last month! lol.

BTW, aren't you proud of Amy? I think it's great and wish her the very best of luck. I think I told her somewhere else, but first the mind goes, you know.

I've always enjoyed this tomato and pear salad you guys keep dishing up!
