Fox News columnist could be fired for reviewing a pirated movie

You've all heard about the unfinished workprint of the new Wolverine movie that got leaked to the Internet, right? Well that dumbass movie reviewer for Fox News actually downloaded and watched it, then wrote a review of it to post on the site. Now his job is in jeopardy. What an idiot!

Kinda makes you wonder about people who post movie reviews on here before the official release, doesn't it?

Here's the article

Depends on what they've seen. I have never reviewed a pirated or illegal release. I have a movie theater that is used for previews. I have reviewed previews done by the studio in advance of official releases. I have always identified the review as such. I have some advisors who won't give such a review more than a helpful because it's not a finished cut of the movie. I respect that. If I see the movie in its final release, I will change the review. That said, there are occasions I think it's okay to write before the release.

But writing about a pirated or otherwise non-authorized release isn't playing fair.

Agree. Previews, and early-releases are fair game. But illegally pirated stuff? No way!

I'm glad to see it's actually been viewed as a serious issue...

Wonder how stupid that reviewer feels now?
