COLOSSUS!

I'm reposting the same message here, as it appears that according to the numbers not a single person has viewed the thread since I've posted the news last week. I thought that Moderators were supposed to check on the entirety of the board?

One of the PlayStation 2's most brilliant video games is now being planned for a movie adaptation. Have you any thoughts?

RE: COLOSSUS!

Now that will make for an interesting movie, if they do it right. Of course the whole thing will be heavy laden with CGI.

Which can be a good thing; don't skimp on Sci/fi budgets; that is why old super hero movies are so bad and cheesy, and why the post Batman batch are moving up.

The first two Superman movies were way better than a lot of the CGI-heavy crap that gets put out today.

Oh man! Give me a great script and the FX available in whatever period the movie was made anyday over 3-D rich, incredible visuals created by CGI but badly written movie.

There are certainly some amazing movies being made today. There have been way too many with a creative team so invested in the eye-candy they could create with today's technology that they forgot about the story telling.

For me, it's like live theater....when watching an old movie, I suspend my disbelief if the story is working. Otherwise, it's Santa Meets the Martians....and yep, I'll admit to cheesiness.

I would take it as a compliment that the Mods did not feel the need to click on your earlier post to ensure it was acceptable.

To paraphrase the old horse/water saw: You can post a message but you can not make anyone read it. Or reply to it.

Apparently better results this time.

No, I'd rather take it as a failure to do a Mod's job. If all the Mods ever do is read the top portion of the boards, then I'd see that as a sign that anyone has the freedom to post whatever they want to below. You could post spam, various "unwelcome" Website links, and other sorts of things that shouldn't be going on... and it wouldn't matter.

I have failed you Chromekiller. I feel terribly bad, well mildy upset anyway. I do read the boards, and I did read your post on our movie board. I didn't comment on it, because I don't have any thoughts on it yet. Loved the video game, it was as wonderous as their original ICO. I am sure either would make a terrific movie IF done right.

I reserve judgment until further information though.

It's not responses that I was getting at, it's page views. I didn't notice a single number other than 0 in the box that counts the views that have been paid to the post since it was created on the 8th. That was until I posted this message that informed of the original post's existence on the 12th. Without the box counting any views, I could only assume that no one, not even Moderators, were looking at the original post that I had put up.

;) Obviously page views weren't updated or whatever. I'd seen the original post.

No clue about the film. I've got the game but couldn't figure it out:)
