Fav. Animes

I know that there are only a select few who actually watch/review anime on a regular basis... but for those of you who at least watch it, got any favorites? I got a long list ahead of me to review (my anime rental list is somewhere close to 700 items long) but I'm always looking for new titles to add.

:) I'd watch more of it if I could (no cash) but I've really dug a few of the Miyazaki productions (Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service). I'm not entirely sure if they count though... Most of the rest of my anime interactions are more in the realm of the 'classics' (Vampire Hunter D, Starblazers, Robotech, Ghost in the Shell stuff like that). I did watch pretty much all of the ones available at the local video stores a while back but the selection was pretty limited. Is Netflix a lot better for it?

Anime

Netflix is good for anime and they are getting better but if you are really interested in renting anime online, I suggest you check out anime specific rental sites such as....

www.animetakeout.com (I personally use this one and love it)
www.rentanime.com
www.animeforest.com

RE: Fav. Animes

I'm not into watching those anime cartoon series if that's what you're asking about. If not, some of the anime movies I can think of that I've owned over the years and enjoyed include:

Wicked City
Akira
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away

I've owned and rented others too, such as Ghost in the Shell. That's the only one I can remember by name. The rest have completely slipped my mind -- except for what was involved in these other movies. I remember in one, there was a war involving dead creatures and a trio of Japanese warriors (one being a woman). Another movie I remember had something to do with a girl and these monsters that I think were being created. I can't really remember, but these movies weren't that great anyway.

Ohhh. Owned stuff? I have two that I actually own, neither of which I actually really care about. I have a Dragonball Z episode (and haven't ever watched it) and the video with the first couple Cutie Honey episodes. I forget where I got one of them, the other came with a room I rented for a bit. I'd like to get the stuff I mentioned though...

RE: Fav. Animes

Thanks but for now I'm going to stick to the ones that are at the library. I haven't checked very many of them really:) The problem is that I just don't have enough reservations there.

Anime Titles to Watch

There is a lot of anime out there here are a few that you might find entertaining:

For Comedy:

The Slayers
Chobits
Golden Boy
Trigun

For Action:

Hellsing
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell

I recently watched these titles and I'm happy to say they don't fail to entertain.

Series I've watched

Hrm well I don't own many although I've watched a decent amount of series:

One Piece
Naruto
Bleach
Samurai Champloo
Yakitate Japan it's about baking bread I found it hilarious
.Hack//Sign
Samurai X
Samurai Deeper Kyo
Suzuka
Mai Hime/Otome
Full Metal Alchemist

Actually I was thinking about this today a few of the dvds I have are only available in other countries and watching through subs. I'd like to review them but wasn't sure if there was any policy against something like that if it wasn't released in the US or something along those lines. I'm sure none of them are added though so if theres no problem with it I guess I'd have to get in contact with a Lead.

Please tell me you're going to look into Ergo Proxy when it comes out in November. I've seen some of it before and so far it's rocking out. Just hope they get the voices right.
