No I totally understand where your comming from. That movie was not that great, and to top it off, Tom Cruise just sucks. I have never seen what the big deal is about him. Most of the time I wont even touch a movie if he's in it.

BIZZARE !

I haven't really see such a terrible movie I don't expect it from Steven speilberg.I am looking forward for some thing more horrible than that. I've ripped a few ..in fact have a draft I'm working on for one that was horrible. There are some that I haven't really liked that I haven't written about too though.Their graphics designs and motion animation was far below in standard than that of designers at website design Sometimes I just don't want to keep thinking about the movie as long as I would have to do get a good review done.
I agree with Doc..the so so ones are hardest for me. A lot of those I end up not reviewing.

WAR OF THE WORLDS,

I must confess, was the only movie in years that I walked out of and asked for my money back (and I've seen some bad movies). I don't know exactly why. I wanted to like it, but the whole thing seemed so lame, given its history, the novel, the famous radio show, and a perfectly good adaptation back in the 1950's.

My sympathies are with you.

War of the Worlds

The original novel, penned in 1898 by H.G. Wells, seems almost quant by today's standards. Although the changes employed by Friedman and Koepp to modernize the story are adequate in displacing many of the book's events to a contemporary time frame, they result in a tale that is rife with logical errors. War of the Worlds is not watertight; in fact, it leaks like a sieve. But, with Spielberg at the helm, we hardly notice the chop in the water as we're taken on a smooth and somewhat breathless ride.

RE: War of the Worlds

I would have liked to see a modern version that was really faithful to the book - I love the fifties' film but it misses so much out. Same with the movie version of the Time Machine.
