Windows 7 upgrade?

Will you upgrade to Windows 7? Why or why not?

Why pay for the marketing of Windows 7?

Business will not purchase the marketing of Windows 7 because current software systems in deployment on Windows XP based networks are still stable and do not see any speed increase with Windows 7.

In fact with Sonic Wall firewalls in place at most Fortune 500 companies, the need for high speed computers beyond the Intel Socket 775 processor are not needed. Today flash content, steaming video and online chat applications are largely blocked by corporate America.

Windows 7 is a bust during this software life cycle.

Try again next time Microsoft. Maybe optimize Dynamics AX Application system software for SSE2 or SSE3 instruction sets and we may be tempted.

RE: Windows 7 upgrade?

I use Linux exclusively and have for many years. I understand that this isn't practical for some users, but Windows 7 is of no interest to me.

RE: Windows 7 upgrade?

I am almost finished moving my entire household (2 desktops, 2 laptops) to Windows 7; I am building my daughters new computer (Xmas present) with Windows 7 Ultimate. I like Windows 7 a whole lot better than Vista, and it beats Windows XP Professional in the enterprise hands down especially with mated with Windows 2008 Server.
