I love most of what Genesis has produced with Peter Gabriel and Pill Collins, as for Ray Wilson I would have to say it is ok.
The best album oops CD I have is self titled Genesis. For personal reason this has become my favorite. It was one of the last things my mother bought for me before she passed away, it was a Christmas gift. Any how the local pop rock stations only played "That's All" and a few others. The Rock stations were playing a song called "MAMA" boy that songs really speaks to me. Phil sings the song asking "mama" for help for it is getting so hard. He know that she is not there right there with him but he can feel her there with him, even thought he can't see her. The back ground music is awesome a little haunting.
He knows that he can't keep her here and she has listened and taught him alot and he knows she cares even though she is not there. But yet he wonders why he is not getting any help because he is hurting. Wants to know if she can feel is heart and how he is feeling. He continues to cry and shake for the pain just won't go away. Just looking for away to make the pain go away. He doesn't want Mama to go for it is getting so hard.
After my mom passed away this song really got me in trouble as a teenager for I blasted it to help with the pain. I was living with my father who really started to hate the song and would often cut off my electric to my room. Well many years later. This song is still awesome to me I don't blast it anymore and I do have it on CD for the hole Album, ooops there I go again, is great.
It came out in 1983 some other songs are "Home by the Sea", "Taking it all to Hard", "Just a Job to do"
If you are any kind of music fan you need to get this CD and listen to it.
