The first time I heard 2Pac's music I thought it was negative and tacky. Then I actually listened. His music is not only positive but catchy. 2Pac's lyrics actually have a meaning that everyone can understand and somewhat relate to. For example,in Dear Mama, he explains how his mother was young but still managed. He asks her how she could do it while living on welfare. Not one other song I have ever listened to has been as true and thankful as this. He realizes he was and is not the perfect son, but he also realizes his mother loves him regardless of all the bad things he has done. When I talk to people about music, 2Pac always seems to come up. We all seem to agree that his lyrics and poems are something to listen to seriously, for he was a serious rapper.
