Yes indeed folks. Your favorite Gothic Mistress of Epinions is back! It's been a while. I decided I needed to formulate a life, and, in the midst of that, I was made to watch the news. This is exactly why I hate reality. It's one constant headache.
... which brings me to this whole Metallica, RIAA, Napster fiasco. A few months ago, I was sick of hearing about it. And guess what! Now I'm BEYOND sick of hearing about it! I try to take a few months off. Get some peace and quiet. And it just seems no matter where I hid, I had to hear Metallica... Napster... RIAA... yadda, yadda, yadda!
So I took to the net. I read the arguments. I enjoyed the on-going rant fests in the Napster chat rooms. I read the Metallica message board (whooo whee was THAT ever entertaining!). I read some FAQ someone made. I looked at the petitions. And now... I feel ever so fulfilled. I feel now, I can make a true, and honest comment on this big old yucky mess.
I tried to come up with something witty. It didn't happen. I tried to think up something intelligent, and intellectual. Brain freeze. So I'm going to steal the words of others. Because, well, I'm lazy, and, they were a heck of a lot more angry than I am, or will be over this all. So now, I bring to you my TOP 10 favorite comments, links, and general rants about Napster, Metallica, stealing MP3's, and the RIAA!

9) The servers were packed. Everyone was in a panic. Download! QUICK! Download! Napster's going down in t-minus 22 hours and counting, and this guy, makes this gem of a statement: [Suck29] you know what this reminds me of? that scene in deep impact where everyone is trying to get out of new york before the big comet hits.
8) So I downloaded a few full albums. I admit it. But this guy, said it all: [JimmyJ02] DOWNLOAD EVERY METALLICA ALBUM YOU CAN GET, BURN IT ON TO SOME 2 CENT CD PIECE OF JUNK, AND HAND EM OUT AT THE GATES OF A LOCAL METALLICA SHOW!!!!!!
7) Everyone lies. You lie. I lie. This person, takes the "lie" taco: [jumpnjive] i buy every cd i own. i support bands. and I'm only here on napster to chat and meet new ppl. i dont need any music off here. i only come here to chat.
6) www.paylars.com - uh. Can I pay him in Monopoly money? How about stale Twinkies? Does he like Pepsi?
5) Okay. Maybe #7 wasn't *that* much of a lie. Maybe some people *are* going to the chat rooms just to um, well, "chat" - wait, I thought there was some lawsuit type thing going on here... [JeepFreak] Napster is a set of giant orgy servers !!!!!

2) Wow... something intelligent was said: [harper400] I'm sorry but I do not feel bad for downloading a few songs. Artist's should learn to make an entire good album, and not just one good song. Maybe then this whole thing will calm down.
And when the HEAT was on... and Napster was just a few short hours from "closing", this was said...

Yes folks. This concludes my returning debut "review" for Epinions. Sorry for my extra-long disappearance. I'm sure at least 4 people missed me. I promise you, now that I am on "vacation" from classes, I will be providing you with tons of reviews, lots of sarcasm, and a heapin' helpful of Gothic wit!
