Pros: Solid collection of rock tracks, infused with condensed energy and moderate emotional openings Cons: Lowers the intensity level in the latter half; Some obvious emo undertones bring unwelcome tiredness
I wonder, sometimes, what I would be missing and gaining if all opinions on music from everybody except my friends (Who, for the record, barely give one) were to quizically vanish. To play devil's advocate, I would have left certain purchasing tendencies ...
Pros: Lyrics, catchiness, and the sound in general Cons: Track 8 is average and the interlude is pointless.
Another odd musical phenomenon: when two bands release albums on the same day. I had known for a while that one of the best, if not the best, bands ever, namely blindside
was to release a CD on August 2nd. ...
Pros: Catchiness, Lyrics are above average, Emery certainly has potential Cons: Screaming, Filler, Takes a while to get into, Some uninteresting instrumentation, Samey-ness
I had an experience at the start of this edition of the I’ll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Write-off similar to the one our illustrious host MattA75, the King of Rock, had a few years ago when he was paired up with ...
Pros: Catchy stuff, simple, less emo, a little more experimental Cons: Not much in the way of sweet guitar work, some generic tracks
Ahh Emery. I remember hearing such great things about this band, running out and buying their first album, The Weak's End, and being disappointed with a pretty bland, overly-emo record. But, when I came across this at BestBuy for 10 bucks, I said, ...
Pros: Emery's music style is still original and fun to listen to. Cons: Emery made this album more of a rock style instead of emo.
"Emo" is becoming more and more popular in today's generation. It is a style of music that is unable to be defined - a sort of punk/rock/ska mix. Emery is a new age Christian band that demonstrates this undefinable style of music very well. However, in ...
Pros: This type of music deals with real life, and stupid mistakes Cons: More for an older audiance, some stuff not for younger kids
Awesome pop/rock band. They are a mix of Christian and Secular ideologys. They are a band that appeals to both religions more or less. I heard about Emery on the iTunes radio, they played Studying Politics on there and I really liked it. So I saved some money and bought the CD. There are a few things that dissapoint me about this CD though. They imply that that they have thouroghly explored the topics of sex and murder. But seeing that we live in a modern world, these are modern mistakes that people commonly mistake. If you have the money and the chance, go out and buy this CD, you'll love it.
