Thanks for your kind comments. My Epinions are getting more and more research required, so I appreciate the appreciation for the time and effort I put it.
If you, or anyone else, are interested, www.koreanfilm.org, a site I recently was introduced to through a Google Search, has links to Korean videos and translated transcripts. As usual, the wonders of the Internet, along with the wonders of cash, allow us to access such things regardless of where we live.
Peace,
ATOM

And I find I'm wishing I lived anywhere I could procure these videos for rental. Alas, in my area of the country, I'm pretty sure there are no Korean video stores.
Fantastic review, and well worth the wait!

Dude, your comments are always so kind and coming from you, they mean a great deal.
Especially after finally finding www.koreanfilm.org yesterday. Whew, I feel like I don't know anything about Korean Film reading the Discussion Board and the Essays by the WebCreator, Darcy Pequot. Makes me think about throwing in the towel.
But then I know I still have something to offer, so I'll keep at it. I'll learn from my misunderstandings of cultural topics and who made what w/ whom. As always, I still have a lot to learn. Atleast I found another site out there that excites me as much as Epinions has.
With the release of "Nowhere To Hide" and "Lies" in the US, it looks good for Korean Films from here on out. Soon you'll be able to see them wherever you are Tipu. Let me know what you think when you do.
I truly appreciate how you comment on everything I write.
Peace,
ATOM

Dude...
Dude, I knew you were workin' on this one, but didn't think I'd see it before I left.
I started reading this, and after a while, realized I was following you cheek rested on upturned palm supported on elbow on the desk here. You know you got me when I forget about time 'n let it flow...
... if I ever end up s'mwhere with Korean video rentals around, I will know where to begin my search from. It's amazing that you were able to capture much of the intensity and emotions of these films even when untranslated. As much as it says about the films, it says just as much about you, bud.
I know when I read your writing that I'll get real stuff, not cud and chewed over ruminations designed to fit the prevailing ponderings of the latest in vogue pundits. I get the real you in you.
What an a$$-et you is, ma main man!!! Too bad for epinions.com that epinions.com doesn't acknowledge this.
Try not to have too much fun at those film showings coming up, eh?!
Rest on your laurels, Hercules? Deserved, but I thinks you shan't!
Thank you Adam! ...t-þoo

Your Welcome, and your printing it out is EXACTLY why I put this list together. Hopefully, it will spark interest, or encourage a second look @ Korean film. The ability to post something like this is what I love about Epinions.
Yeah, there's a lot of bad movies coming out of Korea. I have to admit that the Film Festivals provide a filter wherein I get to see mostly the best. Depending on your interests, I'm sure you'll find a few of these to your liking.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Gee, thanks. All these compliments, I'm blushing.
I did spend a lot of time on this so it's good to know it's appreciated. It just upsets me somewhat that Korean films go un-represented so much, so I'm happy to pass the info on.
Tell Mrs. Kim ATOM said 'Hi' when you stop by.

Hey, Scary Movie has its purpose. It's a nice exploration in how far we can push the limits of humor.
I'm not sure where your "nowheresville" is, but if you're near a city w/ a Film Festival, Korean films are starting to be represented more. The Cleveland Film Festival this year featured two that haven't been available to see out here in SF.
Otherwise, you can plan your vacations around Film Festivals, which is what I plan to start doing.
Thanks for the comments.

Forgive my Keanu Reeves response, but like,
"WHOA-UH!" I now feel guilty for having even touched the plasticine case for the DVD new release of SCARY MOVIE the other day...(don't worry, I put it back). You just made me realize I'm living in a cinematic wasteland. Big time. Thanks for yet another stunning read. Gawd, I wish these films were out out here in nowheresville
