Best of 1999 Mixed Bag of goodies in a strong year

It was a good year, and many great films wont make my top ten list. but here they are:
1. American Beauty - a little manipulative but all around great film.
2. Election - hilarious and dead on.
3. Relax, it's just Sex - funny, cute and half way through, changes faces and creates a wonderfully poignant film.
4. Magnolia - wonderful and mesmerizing.
5. Talented Mr. Ripley - I don't think anyone realized how perfect this movie was in its depiction of P H's Novel.
6. All about my mother - if this doesn't make your heart break, I don't know what will.
7. Eyes Wide Shut - fascinating Kubirkian stuff.
8. Automn's Tale (Conte D'Automn) - so subtle you might have missed it but the best romantic comedy that doesn't underestimate your intelligence.
9. Being John Malkovitch - crazy fun.
10. tie (I'm cheating here) - Go (a lot of fun), Blair Witch Project (if you saw it on the first weekend), Sixth Sense (the kid alone was worth it), and the Matrix (a lot of fun 2).
And cheating here again but these are worthy of mention: Tarzan, South Park, Mansfield Park, Dogma, Cider House Rules, Toy Story 2 and Hurricane.
(Haven't seen Insider, boys Dont Cry, Three Kings or Fight Club yet so cant comment).
Worst of the year? Star Wars Episode 1 or Big Daddy.
