QUILLS: best provocative film! by miknad | Sep 30 '00 This film takes place at the roots of the ages-old controversy over obscenity. Geoffrey Rush plays The Marquis de Sade, who is the source of the profanity being seeped to the seemingly innocent outside world.

...between not telling enough and giving too much away (I tend to do the latter and get comments like "enough, already!"). Personally, I'd have appreciated a little more detail in this review, since I still have only a vague sense of what the movie is about. (Maybe that's just a personal quirk; I'm also one of those people who almost never buys a book without reading the plot summary on the back!)
