The thought of living in a tree house still tickles me pink. Swiss Family Robinson is a SUPERB movie for children. Adults will enjoy it as well. Definitely one for the family video library!!! I remember seeing this movie repeatedly as a young child....

There are so many movies of people being stranded and facing the hard elements of nature, finding food and water, not to mention shelter. However this movie shows how even though hard times fell on this family it is family unity that pulls them thru....

This is a movie that the whole family can really enjoy. It has a little bit of everything; action, adventure, comedy and great scenery. Right from the opening sequence, a model ship being tossed about in a wave tank, you know you are watching a fun and exciting movie.

The story here just keeps moving from one adventure to the next. These adventures feature every animal you can think of and some very colorful pirates. There's always something happening. The sets are wonderful, featuring that incredible tree house.

The transfer and sound are excellent. The "making of" feature is very interesting with the cast and the director telling of their trials and tribulations working with the animals and the details of the elaborate set work. The story of how this movie was made is almost as interesting as the movie itself.
