| apastor's Full Review: Minneapolis Star Tribune |
The Star Tribune is one of those newspapers that do not support any political party. And that is great from an ethical point of view and from a comercial point of view too. This way both conservatives and liberals get to read the same newspaper. However, this makes it much less interesting when you read opinion columns. If you do not go against one party or the other (or in Minnesota also the other - independent) it is not quite as fun.
It has also some other problems. In fact, the Star Tribune pays almost only attention to the Twin Cities and suburbs and forgets about the very important rural areas (unless there is some sort of a catastrophe).
The classic layout is good and more similar to something like The New York Times than something like USA Today.
The best: the sports pages.
A good mid-size city newspaper.
