Size Does Matter

Oct 10 '00

When you pick out any camping item you should think about three things, size, weight, and durability. You don't need to look stylish out in the woods, no one will see you and if someone does there is a good chance that they will not be looking so hot either. Durability is important, you don't want a water filter to break when you aren't near any drinkable water. Smaller is better generally speaking. If there are two of something and they do an equally good job only on is more compact then the other get the smaller one, if it gets the job done. Weight is the other major component of choosing the right gear. The smaller and lighter it is the easier it is to carry and the farther you can carry it. So; durable, small, and lightweight equipment is the best.
