The best mountain bike of the century? There's lots of bikes out there, but which one? Well, I can say the best out there is GT. I've had an Outpost for about 3 years now and it's been great. It's not handlebar heavy like most Schwinns. GT uses great breaks, and the body of even their end-of-the-line bikes are made of chro-moly. The shimano rapid fire shifters are awesome. It's so much more affective than a gripshifter. Just click the button a few times and your in the right gear. It's fast and good it an emergency situation. Overall, GT has a great price, too. Their paint job is radical. The only problems I've had in the past are the reflectors falling off (which is nothing major), and the shifters might need adjusted or oiled. But for me, no major problems. GTs are the best bikes out there!
