GE 27992GE1 2.4 GHz Cordless Phone w/Digital Messaging

Pros: No pros any more
Cons: The buttons stopped working well after a year.

We've had this phone for a little over a year, and I will not recommend it. While the answering machine works fine. The handset is terrible. Most of the buttons don't dial well and don't respond to the pressure. It get in the way of dialing and at times the same number ends up dialing twice...
We also seem to have problem with sound... at times it is very hard to hear on this phone and increasing the volume just makes me hear myself louder but doesn't not help with whoever is on the other side.

Pros: Value,Lightweight,2.4GHz,Design,Ease of use,Durability
Cons: None, so far anyway...

Very Nice Phone!

So far the phone seems great but I have only made a couple of calls as of yet. The calls were clear and had no static. The 2.4GHz analog frequency of this phone does seem to be clearer than the 900MHz, which I expected of course, and the digital answering machine seems to work flawlessly as well.

As far as range goes on this phone, I was able to go over 20 feet away from the house without hardly any static or *fuzz* as I call it.

The battery pack in this phone is a NiCD(Nickel Cadmium). Since the initial charge time of 12 hours, I have used the phone for over 6 hours in the past 2 days(three hours at a time each day) with only about 4 hours charging in between and it has yet to go dead!

Overall, if your looking for a nice 2.4GHz cordless phone, this one can't be beat with an average price of around $50. Mine was purchased on sale at Best Buy for $39.99.
