Pros: Wireless wherever Verizon goes, Potentially more secure than Hotspots, Deal on Card. Cons: 150 kbps average, for music and downloads this can be slow
Why did I decide to use this wireless internet card option

PC5220 Good idea, but users beware?
by xanman25 ,Jan 22 '05
Pros: Speed, power, only 3G device in the US market! Cons: 79 dollars a month, dubious compatability/potential hardware conflicts.
Good device, ultra-fast network connections in cities with BroadbandAccess. Has service everywhere our Verizon phones have service. This is the only true 3G device for the US market as of this review! Sprint may release theirs in late 2005, early 2006.
But use caution! Our card operates on the limits of Cardbus specifications for power consumption--and our onboard bluetooth got fried at the same time we started using the card. Our tablet pc is getting sent back for a hardware repair.

Beware of this card
by beefboy ,Aug 23 '05
Pros: EVDO Cons: Many laptops are incompatible with this card.
The PC5220 and Verizon Broadband can make a deadly combination. We use the Dell Latitude D500, D505, D510 and this card has caused nothing but problems.
Check out the list of compatible cards on this site.

I would look into the Kyocera KPC650.
Good Luck.
