Pros: Extremely fast, very high quality photo printing Cons: Not a good all-purpose printer
When my husband and I got a Fuji S5000 camera for ourselves for Christmas, I came to the stark realization that my HP895 printer (a great little workhorse in it’s own right) just isn’t a photo printer. It sort of made no sense to bother taking wonderful ...
Pros: Top-notch photo quality, blazingly fast (for pictures), separate ink tanks, super quiet. Cons: Slow text print speeds. Ink usage worse than i950. Must use Canon’s paper.
There are sometimes when time is money. That’s why I decided to purchase the Canon i960. Yes, I do have an HP Photosmart 7350, itself an awesome printer. Yet the 10+ minute wait time required to do an 8x10 (the size I like to do most, unlike most ...
Pros: Quality photos, individual ink tanks, six color printing. Cons: Printhead will eventually fail, size, no USB cord in package.
Well it was bound to happen... My two-year-old Canon S800 that I loved so much finally started giving me trouble. See, I switched from traditional photos to digital photos a while ago. And with my camera's memory capacity at about 250 photos, I was ...
Pros: Fast printing, inexpensive, high quality prints Cons: Fading not as good as the HP.
We needed a printer for photo printing only. Based on reviews I read on the web of photo quality, the top two photo printer less than $300 was the Canon I960 and the HP 7960. I own 3 printers and one thing I learned the hard way is that if it does not ...
Pros: attractive cabinet, 4x6 photo tray, quiet, quick, great color prints, price and value Cons: required USB cord only and does not come with the USB cord
I have owned and used many brands of color and black/white printers over the years. From desk jet to laser printing (I even have one of the old ribbon style printers that still works), all all I can say about the Canon i960 is WOW. I used my new ...
Pros: Quality images, superior performance and breathtaking results. Cons: If I redesigned the ink tanks,an additional black ink tank would be worthwhile.
This is the Canon upgrade to the i950 series printers. It follows the line of printers that has the Canon Think Tank System of individual ink tanks coupled with a management system. The i960, like the i900D, have six tanks. It follows the path of the ...
Pros: Great photo printer. Good price. Cons: price of quality photo paper and ink.
If your wondering what the difference is between the i950 and the i960, there is virtually none except the price. This printer just came out October 2003. Don't buy a i950 for $250, or you'll waste $50. I assume Canon needed to enter a quality photo pr ...
Pros: Excellent print quality when photo paper is used, very quiet when printing. Cons: Minimal printer documentation, loud initial loading of paper, no memory card slots.
I researched several similar photo printers in the $100-$200 price range, including several from HP, Epson and Lexmark. I read several photo printer reviews, including one at Steves Digicams that was very positive. The Canon percolated to the top ...
Pros: The price and output quality. WOW it is amazing. Cons: Cost of inks if you have to use Canon inks to get the great quality.
How can Canon make a printer this good for the price? Not only is it reasonably fast and quiet it does a nice job. The setup was a little slow, mostly setting up the software and removing the tape from the printer but the printer does a wonderful job. ...
Pros: Professional and gratifying results generated from a tiny investment. Cons: USB interface only. No compact flash direct print.
My experience in using the Canon I960 has been totally wonderful. I made the purchase from Dell because they are trust worthy, they have it in stock and nobody else has it $199.00 less 10% discount, free shipping, and for shipping to New York, you are res ...
Pros: Wonderful picture quality, quiet, looks nice, and has fold out paper tray Cons: The fold up tray jams papers if it is not unfolded when printing.
Well, I must say I was torn. Did I go up to the next step of technology and buy a dye sub printer and be limited to 4x6 photos? (I did not feel the price/ technology margin was at an equal rate, yet...) I was truly torn for quality and price. I wanted ...
Pros: Affordable, quiet and has a current $30.00 rebate at Canon.com Cons: No USB cord. Pick one up at e-bay for $5.00 and save.
After a long 6 month comparison and research, I finally settled on the Canon i960. I am glad I did. The first time I printed out a 4x6 photo, I had to look twice at the printer just to make sure it was working. It was so quite and fast I was astounded. This replaced my Epson Stylus Pro and there is simply no comparison. Set up was a breeze, photo quality was brilliant and the ink replacements cartridges are affordable. I purchased on-line for $155.00 delivered. Factor in a $30.00 Canon Rebate (Check out Canon.com) and the printer is $125.00. There is no better deal out there.
Fantastic Photo Printer by soccerbiker ,Mar 09 '04
Pros: Speed, print quality, ease of use Cons: Small ink cartridges
Researched Canon and Epson. Had many HP printers but never estatic with the quality. Technical aspects of Epson inks were appealing but the speed and quality of the Canon i960 on Canon paper was astounding. I figure that if I have to worry about colors fading after 25 years, I better keep my originals on CD so I can reprint them. I have printed 8X10 photos with no problems. Important to use Canon papers. I tested the printer with Kodak and HP papers and the quality is not near as good. The Pro paper is photo studio quality but the Plus paper is not too far behind. Haven't tried the matte paper yet. I use this printer primarily for photo printing only.
Pros: Fast, quiet, excellent results. 6 ink trays looks to be the way to go. Cons: Not compatible to direct print with my Olympus C-750 camera. No big deal:
I am thoroughly impressed with this printer. Price is right, it's fast, it prints beautiful pics. Installation was a snap, software is good. My digital studio is now complete!
Pros: Quality of the photos are great. Fast compared to other printers with superb quality. Cons: No memory card slots. Didn't deter me.
We researched and reviewed for a while and finally decided on the Canon I960. I am quite impressed with the quality of the photos I printed on the 4X6 print. I used the Canon paper plus glossy. I have an older Sony Mavica 1 megapixel camera and the picture I printed turned out just like a picture processed from the photo lab. The printer was easy to set up and I was printing in less than 20 minutes from out of the box. Can't wait to print more.
You won't be dissapointed.
