Pros: Excellent quality, very sturdy, rear hatch access, and easy to use. Cons: Heavy, requires a large deep socket wrench to install.
I looked around at different bike rack options before buying the Softride Access. Reviews here at Epinions were very helpful, but now that I've had mine for a couple of months, I can report that I'm extremely happy with the rack. I never looked at racks ...

Pros: Easy to fold with bikes attached. Sturdy, doesn't rattle. Many accessories available. Unbeatable value. Cons: Need to purchase your own padlock.
I purchased this rack about six months ago. I was looking for an inexpensive alternative to the overpriced Yakima and Thule products. When I saw this rack, I knew I'd found what I was looking for. It's very sturdy and doesn't rattle like many of the ...

Pros: Strong, well constructed. Cons: Hard to load, Bike mount is not secure.
I do a lot of riding with family and friends, so I needed a good rack. It needs to load easily, handle smaller frames (kid bikes), carry at least 4 bikes and be relatively light (for my wife). I tried it for a couple of rides, one with friends and one ...

Good to Very Good.

Pros: Very sturdy when driving. Cons: Difficult to get 4 large bikes on the rack.
I recently bought this product and the accessory that mounts to the wall of a garage or basement.
In my opinion, the product is good (maybe even very good) but not great. Although advertised as a 4 to 5 bike holder, I have trouble getting 4 bikes on it (there's allot of adjusting and readjusting to get them to fit--and even then the bikes are ramming in to each other). bending the rack downward so that the back of the car can be opened involves much excursion. I am 6 feet 3 inches , 250 lb and it takes a very significant amount of effort to bend the hitch down (especially when the bikes are on them).
On the positive side, once in transit the bike rack is exceptional. There's no swaying at all and I feel as if the bikes are very secure.
The garage/basement adapter is a nice touch and works well.
