Pros: None Cons: Poor customer service, poor resolution of issues
I joined up with Voicestream a few months ago because the advertised plan seemed like a great deal. I had been wanting a cell phone for a long time, and getting a lot of minutes for a relatively low cost was quite appealing to me.
Pros: Excellent coverage, rate plans, customer service, and website. Free phones. Cons: No auto-time sync in all markets, nor with all phones. No analog roaming.
Introduction This is a review for both T-Mobile Customer Service and T-Mobile Service for the San Jose, CA area (Epinions still has not added T-Mobile to the San Francisco/San Jose/Oakland listings). I am currently in my sixth month of servic ...
Pros: No Pros Cons: Inconsistent Customer Service and Hidden Fees

Pros: good phone range Cons: phone deals are not what they seem to be

Pros: Short hold times Cons: Customer Service reps are clueless

I signed up with VoiceStream on December 26, 2000 because the car I owned had mechanical problems (see epinion on 1995 Cavalier ”Flaming, literally!”). In the beginning, I had good service with my phone. I purchased the “Get More Plan” which allocated...
Pros: Usually fairly short "on-hold" times. Cons: Low quality of customer care provided.

Pros: Good service is sporadic, but when it's good, it's excellent! Cons: When you get a hold of the bad apple. It's really quite a terrible experience
I currently have three phones with VoiceStream in Albuquerque, NM. One phone is actually in my daughter's name, though I pay the bill for it. This is the source of most of my problems with customer service.

Supervisor should be FIRED by vikaslulla ,Apr 03 '06
Pros: You get connected to technical support Cons: Technical support doesn't do anything to resolve the issue
there is something wrong with my service. Whenever people try to call me for the most part they have been getting a msg "all circuits are busy". i have been calling customer service and they put a request to technical support but there has been no response from them either. today when i was having the same problem, i called customer support hoping to resolve the issue with my service but i received the same answer from a representative (we need to put a request for technical support) i asked to speak to a supervisor. when i explained my problem to the supervisor, she cut me, raised her voice and was extremely rude to me. when i asked her not yell at me, she said "I GAVE YOU A CHANCE TO SPEAK, NOW IT IS MY TURN. When i told her that she cannot yell at me like this, she said "HAVE A NICE DAY" and hung up the phone. I have never ever experienced such behavior from customer service dept.
T mobile has a very bad service by zazi ,Dec 29 '06
Pros: there is no pros Cons: It is a horrible company
I have T-mobile and there is a very bad coverage where I just moved. There is no signal in the house and they are asking me to pay termination fee when I cancel the contract. They are not helpful and so mean. Their customer service is very bad. I never had a horrible company like T mobile. I will never ever use TMobile again.
If it's possible to be happy with cellular service, I'm happy with T Mobile by hannahbanna_1 ,Jan 10 '05
Pros: Enough minutes to make it through the month. Good Service. Cons: Statements still confusing, but better. Somewhat limited Service area.
I had Cell Phone Service since '97 and I used a number of different providers. T-Mobile is by far the best. I currently have the 1000 minutes a month plan which is perfect for me. I have relatives in four different states that I can now call with no roaming charges and after 9:00 it's FREE as are weekends! I don't have a fancy camera phone but I don't need one and their basic service is great.
The monthly statements are still confusing but not as confusing as Verison's or Nextel's were. In other words, you don't have to be a nuclear physicist to understand them, any old masters degree will do.
Paying the bill is easy, imagine that! Just dial 611 on the phone and follow the prompts.
I know that all plans are overly complicated, by design. I'm just saying that at least this one is manageable and I can make it through the month without taking out a second mortgage on my house. It's actually worked so well I canceled my land line coming into my house so I'm totally cellular!
T Mobile-THE WORST PHONE COMPANY IN THE WORLD. by sbfilmguy ,Dec 26 '07
Pros: LOOKED LIKE A GOOD DEAL ON THE PHONE Cons: Phone didn't work, customer service was both inept and rude.
I had them years ago and had problems with coverage, billing and customer service, so I guess it's my fault for trying them again. I bought a prepaid phone from their web site as a gift for my grandparents. Wanted to set everything up for them so it would be easy to use: well the activation process requires calling an automated system from a different phone and entering 15 minutes worth of information, then it bounced me to customer (non) service, which bounced me around and cut me off for an HOUR AND A HALF before telling me that they had printed the wrong activation code on my paperwork and would send me a new number in the postal mail so that I could start the process over again next week some time. I pointed out that I ordered it online so they should be able to email it to me at which point the unservice woman became beligerant with me...I am sending it back, and by the way in my neighborhood it only showed 2 bars of service, my ATT phone always gets 4...what a waste.
HORRIBLE. CONTRACT ENDED YESTERDAY! HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!! by ladyrebel73 ,Jul 11 '05
Pros: NONE. ZIP. ZERO. ZILCH. Cons: See above. I have wasted enough of my life on this crappy company.
T-Mobile "customer service" is absolutely the biggest hassle I have ever encountered. The Sidekick PDA phones I purchased 1 year ago kept dying (my husband and I have been through 8 phones in that one year) and the "customer service" was an agonizing ordeal of calling the 800 number, waiting on hold FOREVER, having to enter the phone number 11 times and verify all information at least 20 times, being transferred to representatives who could barely speak or understand English only to be transferred again to another representative to be placed on hold AGAIN to finally be told that there was nothing they could do. My contract ended yesterday and I am going TONIGHT to another wireless company to get a better phone and service. I cannot wait until a T-Mobile representative calls me tonight (as they have been doing for a week) to try to get me to sign another contract. I don't care if they offer me a new Sidekick II and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and my own island in the Caribbean...I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Frustration builds up every time I call T-mobile's customer care by fareena_j ,Mar 26 '07
Pros: Not experienced dropped calls, economical family plan with more minutes Cons: Horrible customer support, replaces with a used phone for a defective device
It seems each time I call T-Mobile's customer care, I am more frustrated with them. They are not working for the customers but only for the company. I wonder why they even call themselves customer service agents??? Everything is a 'No' for an answer. Can you do this for me? 'No' is the response you get, and not in the most friendliest of tunes either! I have been a dissatisfied customer for a while now. The only reason that I am with them is because of the network that they have and I have not had a dropped call as yet as well as their family plan is more economical for my situation. The only way these people are going to get a good run for their money is when mobile phones are sold freely in stores without being registered to a particular network, and where you can choose any network without contracts! This way when people start switching the competition grows and customer service should improve.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER IN ADDITION TO NON-WORKING PHONE by jtellsthetruth ,Oct 11 '09
Pros: THERE ARE NO PROS AT ALL. Everything here Cons: Nothing on the phone works. So-called Customer service impossible and/or frustrating to reach.
I recently brought my daughter a Sidekick. Not only did the Internet not work, it also did not make phone calls (other than customer service and emergency calls) or have text messaging. I took it back to the store and was told that it is a service issue. Tried to call customer service. Listened to a moronic TelePrompter which led to nowhere. I was put on hold for over half an hour, after which the call was disconnected.I tried again, and this time I was on hold for an hour and disconnected. When I finally got thru to someone, they explained there were "outages" in the area and that they would have it back up in 24 hours. 24 hours later, still nothing. Not only do I have a useless phone, now I have to chase down customer service and spend hours on hold because they r too cheap to hire enough peopl to answer the several angry people calling about useless phones. While the phone has many applications, which would be great if they worked, it is overshadowed by horrible service an the simple fact that there is no point to a phone that does not work.
T-Mobile: The customer is ALWAYS wrong! by edw216 ,Jan 26 '08
Pros: Low price. Cons: customer is always wrong.
I've found that T-Mobile is relentless against giving in towards a customer in the event of a dispute. Try to dispute a charge with them, you'll see how quickly their tones change. I talked with three different representatives, and they all used the same language. I think they read from a script.
I was a T-Mobile customer for over 2 years. My monthly payment was automatically charged to my credit card. I canceled my credit card and updated that information with T-Mobile by the due date. They assessed a late fee against me, telling me that I shuold have spoken to a customer representative instead of merely updating my credit card information. I don't see why I should be charged a late fee if T-Mobile had my correct credit card number by the actual due date! I tried to dispute the late fee, but they won't budge, telling me that it was valid charge.
Their relentless urge to systematically maintain the customer is "wrong" is appauling. Switch to AT&T. Much easier to dispute charges. AT&T's representatives are more willing to work customers in order to resolve disputes.
Pros: Nothing Cons: My lesson of the end of 2008 is never count and trust T-mobile rebate.
I am truly disappointed with the T-mobile rebate. It took them 8 weeks to tell me that the requirements are not met. Because I have a blackberry, I need to have the internet service to receive the rebate. Now, my rebate is delayed and I have to waste more money on the internet service that I do not use. My lesson of the end of 2008 is never count and trust T-mobile rebate.
I was required to fill out every thing so I put 250 for the price.
Can't seem to handle porting our new numbers. by macuff ,Jul 07 '07
Pros: Great VERY no pressure sales reps in T-Mobile store. Cons: Seemingly incompetent CS when it comes to fixing THEIR screw up.
My wife and I bought our phones on 7/1, programmed our 5 faves. Told to come back on 7/6 so they could port our Verizon numbers to our new phones. Sales reps made the requests to port our new numbers to our new phones, double checked, had me double check the screen. Whomever is in charge of porting the new numbers SCREWED UP and switched my wife's phone and mine, so we had each other's 2 year old numbers. Took the phones back that evening and the poor sales rep spent 30 minutes on the phone with Customer disService to get the numbers assigned correctly. By 2 PM 7/7, no fixy numbers! I called CS and they said that CS turned down the request to fix the numbers because they "did it correctly". Wrong. CS rep turned in yet ANOTHER request to fix the numbers. The saga continues. It was suggested we switch the assigned SIM cards ourselves, but then we lose our 5 Faves that we are paying for, for the month of July. No offer to make good on that part.....
T-MOBILE FAILS IN BOTH SERVICE AND PRODUCT by acouml ,Jul 02 '05
Pros: Some customer service representatives were polite sympathetic listeners even though they could not solve problem. Cons: The price for additional phones was only $9.95 mo. when others were charging $19.95.
I gave my children and grandchildren T-Mobile cell phones and service as Christmas gifts. I obligated myself to a total of 8 mobile phones. My family needed these to coordinate rides and for parents to keep track of children. These phones were essential for safety and reliability among the family. T-mobile failed to connect calls or dropped calls in progress numerous times. Now, the phones themselves are failing. This has resulted in missed rides, missed appointments, broken down cars that could not call for help, worried parents, and babies left to be carried home in freezing cold because phone did not work. Customer care has done nothing to resolve the problem, will not let us out of our contract, insist that we continue to pay for inadequate service. It would cost $1800 at $200 per phone penalty to cancel service. We cannot afford to go to another company. We do not feel safe in counting on T-mobile service, many inconveniences, nervous strain, physical hardship.
Pros: Excellent customer service Cons: Drop call all the time, terrible reception, no signal in most areas
I use the network within mostly in California, within the Sacramento area all the way to Riverside. Most of the time, I do not get signal, and there is a lot of drop calls, usually after 10 minutes. The reception is also terrible.
New Blackberry Pearl T Mobile by georgiafire1 ,Feb 02 '09
Pros: Quick Porting 5 hours Free Phone and 100.00 rebate No deposit Great Plan Cons: None yet.
I am thrilled with my initial experience with T Mobile. Received my phone today and was hassle free, I worried about the porting feature and they had the number ported from Sprint in 4 hours. I can truly say if things go as smooth as this day I will love T Mobile.
Pros: ITS NOT CINGULAR!!!
Great cust service. great prices . great coverage Cons: NONE
I know some people may have had problems with tmobile in the past, but their coverage has gotten so much better. i switched from tmobile to cingular ( THE WORST PHONE COMPANY EVER DO NOT USE THEM) and then came back to tmobile. ever time i talk to one of their representatives i have such a plesant experience. i never have dropped calls... they have the best rates out there. plus if you travel overseas they will unlock your phone so that you can use local providers in different countries...basically i never have any problems whatsoever. all i suggest is that if you dont choose tmobile.. NEVER GO WITH CINGULAR
Pros: Great coverage; fairly priced Cons: Not enough phone options
I've been a T-Mobile customer for 5 years and I've never had a problem with the service. I don't know about other locations, but in Boston where I live T-Mobile has the best coverage. I don't even remember the last time I had a dropped call, and I've never had a problem with customer service at all. What I don't like is being tied to a 2-year contract because I can't use the upgrade discount when I need it but every carrier is like that. They do offer I've had Sprint and AT&T in the past and both carriers ticked me off on a regular basis so in my opinion T-Mobile is a great company.
As far as phones go, they could improve the variety. I have a sidekick and it works perfectly fine, but I’ve had it for about a year-and-a-half so I got bored with it, but there really isn’t a better T-Mobile phone that is fairly priced so I’m stuck with my sidekick till my upgrade date comes around. But that's fine.
Pros: phone offering is ok Cons: service is painfully bad
it took them 3 weeks and 4 cancelled orders to make an overnight delivery order. additionally my voicemail still does not work, even though i reported prob 4 days ago and ticket was send to 3rd level support
I switched to T-mobile to take advantage of the family plan. Great Idea. I assumed all phones and coverages were the same. I was surprised when I had no signal at my home ( I live in town, on a hill, in a frame house). Bad enough, same thing at my work. (Work away from town but had US Cellular coverage before). After two weeks of "trying this" and " turning off and on", I was told by Customer Service "we never guarantee the phones to work indoors". I was amazed. Enough of that, turned back in the phones, cancelled the contract, returned to US Cellular. Can't seem to convince T-mobile that this is no way to build a customer base.
Pros: 24/7 customer care and they are always nice if you can understand them. Cons: They wont make my phone rite with me
I have been a customer of T-Mobile for 3 years and I bought the Motorola v180 recently and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I cant seem to get T-Mobile to fix it. I am just stuck with it or I have to pay way too much for a new phone. I already bought one isn't that enough? They are sometimes good if it isn't going to cost them anything, but they should at least discount me on a phone that works instead of trying to stick it to me.
T-Mobile Customer Service and Policy by michaelamiller ,Mar 22 '07
Pros: The Motorola Cell Phone V195 is an excellent hand set. Cons: Cell phone t619 basic and just meets specifications.
1. Will not furnish written contract.
2. Will not furnish written rate plan.
3. Will not supply copies of plan initiation scripts.
4. Will not respond to customer letters.
5. Not knowledgeable about their equipment.
6. Will not help with Journal / Album entries.
7. Reception varies greatly with area; some areas are completely without any reception.
8. Tax rates on invoices vary without explanation.
9. Customer service contact is superfluous and unresponsive.
10. Will not block unwanted text and picture messages.
tmobile's customer service rocks by sarilou317 ,Mar 04 '09
Pros: Call them anytime. No fear that your day will be ruined. Cons: Too bad they couldn't give me another $50 Wing.
I had a really bad experience with my wing (dead in 14 mos, $104 to repair). Had to make several calls to tmobile to work out an alternative... While I was very disappointed that they couldn't give me a new Wing for the huge discount I originally got, I was extremely impressed with how fantastic their customer service was - both in calling customer service and tech support. Very short waits; friendly intelligent people. There was no reading from a script; they actually listened to me, thought about my problem, and tried their best to solve it (this is clearly NOT a job outsourced to another country). On the flipside, I spent 45 minutes trying to get help from Verizon on my home phone... and didn't even get to talk to a human! Thank you, tmobile!
The most obnoxious service provider by boolean10 ,Dec 05 '04
Pros: Cheaper phones Cons: Bad coverage, Bad business practice.
I switched from AT&T to T-mobile (SF BAY AREA) because they were offerring very good deal on tri-band phones. What a mistake!
It charged 10 bucks a month for web browsering, unlike Verison. It does have spotty coverage around the bay (no service on some portions of I-80) unlike AT&T.
And worst of all, if you miss your payment date by 3 days, they'd be sending you debt collection letters trying to goad you into signing up for their easy pay option by threatening to suspend you. Of course, if they do suspend you, you will have to pay the reactivation fee. Viola! What a good way to keey the customer!
For the sake of you credit, don't make a mistake like I did. I still have 8 more month on my contract. PAIN! I'll be switching back to Cingular/AT&T the first thing when the time comes.
Disgust with T-Mobile's policies on downloading music ringtones by crayzerholder ,May 13 '08
Pros: This has been my only beef with T-Mobile in the 6 or more years. Cons: Paying multiple times for something T-Mobile knows that I have already purchased.
I'm somewhat distraught at the turnover concerning new phone upgrades and past music downloads. I find it upsetting that you pay for the service of purchasing a song downloads only to have to do it multiple times after purchasing a new phone. Why am I paying more than once with T-Mobile to have the same downloads, at more than two dollars a pop, when in the past I could just call customer services and have those downloads replaced? Greed or idiocy?
Terrible Coverage and Poor Customer Service by pigsear ,Oct 26 '05
Pros: Not a ONE! Cons: Poor Service
Poor Customer Service
Terrible Coverage
I had T-Mobile for two years. After calling several times to complain about their coverage and having them blow smoke up my %## about "new towers" and "more reliability" for months and months I finally gave up on them. Verizon has the best coverage. I also asked for some sort of incentive to stay with T-Mobile but they gave me none, while ANY other new service would give me a free new phone and other goodies. Their customer service was rude and careless. I can't degrade this company enough after finally being cheated out of an eighty dollar monthly bill that I did not have service for. Stay away.
Pros: The sales representative has been the only positive experience. Unfortunately, I now know why. Cons: T Mobile has extremely poor signal quality which leaves this consumer with extreme regrets.
Throughout the day, I have been to many of metro Detroit's major cities, including West Bloomfield, Southfield, Grosse Pointe, etc., and still have not been able to pick up a signal. I have just recently been introduced to T Mobile and am finding that the signal capability is extremely poor. I have had to make a number of business related calls and have been unable to do so due to this major inconvenience. The only use I currently have for my cellular phone is to tell time. If this happens to be a regular occurrence, I find that this company unethically promotes cellular service, leading it's customers with gimmicks in order to sign contracts under which they have no recourse, in which to act, finding that their capacity to communicate is profoundly limited. Should this be the normal practices of T Mobile, I would greatly consider the ethical principles under which T Mobile and it's employees operate.
T-Mobile Customer Service going downhill by jdayer ,Aug 15 '08
Pros: GSM service provider. Cons: Degrading service, poor coverage, fewer choices in phone features, less competitive in service features.
T-Mobile is more expensive and does not have the service features, phone features or coverage of other cell phone companies, but, their customer service is so much better that I have enjoyed being a customer.
T-Mobile does not offer GPS on the Blackberry Curve, and many of their other phones are similarly feature restricted, but until recently customer service has been good enough that I stayed with the company.
T-Mobile's calling circle plans are more limited than others, no roll over minutes, etc, etc. Customer service has always made up for the lack of service features.
In my opinion over the past six months the T-Mobile customer service has taken a serious downturn.
The only benefit is the international coverage because of T-Mobiles GSM service.
T-Mobile Service Sucks Guys. The statements are Bogus.
They have charged me over 200 bucks, and when i inquired abt it...they were all Bogus. The response i got from the Customer service Reps was too bad. They werent ready to Look at my statemnts at all. i had to fight and argue with them for 2 Hrs. Finally i ahd to Dispute with my credit card. and Now they say that was a Mistake. So, i am never going for that service.
Pros: No frustrating foreign call centres Cons: the automated system at the beginning rarely understands my English accent
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson K800i from England and brought it to the US to use on the T-mobile network. I had an issue with receiving picture messages and after a few failed attempts at configuring it myself I contacted T-mobile. The customer service was exceptional. I had a feeling they would tell me there was nothing they could do for a phone they don't support but I was wrong. I was transferred twice but each person knew what was going on before I spoke to them and was polite and very helpful. They sent me settings for my phone and despite having no experience with this particular phone, walked me through how to adjust it to the necessary specifications. I was not sitting on hold and was spoken to by someone who actually understood what I was saying. In fact, I have never had any problems with solving issues with them. The salutation and goodbye is cheesy but at least they pretend to care that you are a customer.
Pros: good plans Cons: really small coverage areas, bad return policy, poor customer service
i purchased my tmobile phone and service online at tmobile.com. it came in the mail two days later. when i tried to place a call inside my home, it was dropped. i had to go outside in the cold to stand in the middle of the street to find one bar of signal service. customer service cancelled the phone but would not credit me for the days of service they charged me even though i did not have the phone in my possession. they also would not send me a return label. now i will have to pay for four days of service (according to their records) plus to have it shipped back to them, even though the decision for me to return the phone is based on the fact that they do not provide service to my home area. this is the worst customer service as far as i am concerned. they were completely unwilling to do anything about my situation because it was not 'policy', even though i wanted to return the phone because of their poor coverage in my home area.
Pros: Fairly good coverage internationally Cons: Terrible response capabilities, inaccurate record keeping, and incredibly inflexible.
T-Mobile has, by far, the worst customer service of any cellular company I have ever dealt with. There is no way I would ever recommend the company to a friend or even an enemy.
T-Mobile Service is the ABSOLUTE WORST!! by sheffer ,Oct 24 '05
Pros: there is nothing good about this crappy company... Cons: Everything. STAY AWAY FROM T-MOBILE, they are the worst cell phone company on earth!
I have tried every phone service out there and T-Mobile is without question the pits. I just went with them because I wanted a SideKick, which is a piece of crap. T-Mobile service is a joke. They will not lift a finger to remedy a situation even when they have caused it. Their people treat you like dirt.
They customer care sucks!!!!
I cancelled the service 3 days late because their cancelltion center either hang up on me or kept me waitting forever. They charged me for the whole month. I argued and both the representative and the supervisor admitted it's their fault but they don't want to correct it.
AVOID T-MOBILE at all costs by gibson330 ,Oct 29 '03
Pros: none. Cons: poor coverage. unhelpful customer service. useless web site. "special offers" that don't really exist.
coverage is a joke: no service in places like burlington, vermont; cleveland, ohio; richmond, virginia; and even parts of los angeles! and this, after being told (in march 2002) that voicestream/t-mobile "had excellent coverage, great if you travel a lot" by clueless salesperson.
special offers are a joke: i attempted approximately five times to order a phone upgrade at their invitation. no one ever answered their 866 number. never.
the t-mobile web site is useless: i attempted to order said phone approximately five times on t-mobile.com, the most buggy web site i've ever encountered. finally, i was able to order the phone.
did the phone ever come? no. was there ever a record of the transaction, which included transfer of my credit-card number? no. was customer service able to help me? no -- they referred me to several defunct or useless toll free numbers. bottom line: BEWARE of their so-called GET MORE offers. they are IMPOSSIBLE to take advantage of.
Pros: Good service good prices Cons: you can only send pics to t-mobile and att customers
I am a fairly new t-mobile customer and I am completely satisfied with their service. I used to have sprint and i had alot of dropped calls. T-mobile has a good network. I haven't had a dropped call yet in 4 months. the price is right.
T-mobile, a terrible company by specialbranch ,Dec 03 '08
Pros: web site works well enough, as does bill review so you can see all charges. Cons: Rude people, constant hidden fees. They lie to customers, awful company.
5 years with t-mobile, 3 phones, moved homes and landed in a dead zone. Got permission to leave contract with 55 days left on it without penalty because there was rotten service at my home (where I also work). Got rep to notate that on my account because I was fearful of the charge. She was adamant there would be no penalty. Got a 200 penalty bill, and then yelled at by rep, and supervisor saying pay up or else get another phone for the 55 days left on the contract. Did that 'cos it was less than the 200 bill. These people were appalling. In five years, have spent more than 8,000 dollars with t-mobile and they still have to screw me for 200 bogus fee, when they are the ones who cannot provide service to my home/workplace. Have dealt with a lot of tricky companies, but t-mobile are hands down the worst. If you need new cell service, avoid these guys like the plague. Plus their plans only look competitive on the outside.
The worst company I have dealt with by vineman ,Apr 28 '09
Pros: Waltham Cross store staff OK Cons: I even find your"Review Writing Standards" arrogant.
I purchased a web stick a year ago on a two year contract. Three weeks ago it stopped working. I phoned T-Mobile customer services (in Manila, I've since found out) and after fifty minutes I was told that they would send me an envelope to return the stick to be repaired.
I waited a week, and took the stick to my local T-Mobile shop, who sent it off. The envelope arrived three days later. Today I received a text from the shop to say the stick had been returned. I went to the shop to be told that the stick had not been repaired as it had sustained damage, presumably I pay the remaining 12 monthly payments for no service.
I had foolishly bought a T-Mobile pay as you go stick to tide me over, it took 40 minutes on the phone to Manila to get the adult content bar removed, and I am still unable to top-up on line.
T-Mobile Terrible Customer Service Very Poor customer service Harsh and argumentative by ckelly50 ,Dec 08 '04
Pros: Free phones, national coverage, Website that works to pay your bill . Cons: Used to be a good company to deal with. Very harsh with customers
I find it hard to believe that T-Mobile would treat their customers with such harshness and disregard.
I have been a T-Mobile customer for about 2 years. That means they have at least $50 a month from me. Well I paid my most recent bill online( as I always do). I was shocked when I found out by a friend that my phone had been shut off. I called T-Mobile and asked them why they didn't text message me or email me- I guess when online I put an incorrect digit for the credit card number!
Their response is "we are under no obiligation to contact your regarding this error" In other words "tough". The phone number was on my resume and I wonder if someone tried to call me.
This is just too much- No way I'm giving my money to T-mobile.
Worst Experience ever!!! by orangehead911 ,Mar 22 '04
Pros: NONE Cons: Everything
I just got off the phone with a T-Mobile Customer Service Supervisor.
I was calling to resolve a mail-in rebate offer that their rebate center refused to honor. Though my approach to the offer was unorthodox, I was promised on several different occasions that the rebate offer was valid and that I qualified for it. I ordered the new phone and submitted the rebate form. To my utter disgust, the rebate request was declined. Not once, but twice.
Of course, T-Mobile customer service, in their ineptitude, is unable to help.
On other occasions I have made requests to the customer service department, with either no or very limited luck. They are not there to serve you, rather only to serve their corporate greed.
Whatever you do, don't get a T-Mobile account ever!!! You will be sorry...
Pros: Comparable monthly service costs Cons: Mis-leading charges for replacement phones.
Very disappointed. Receive different information from different service reps. Replacement costs for phones and are not provided on the website. Instead the "suggested-retail" price (and subsequent rebate price is provided). If you need a replacement phone and do not qualify for the rebate... the price you may is (in my case) upwards of $100.00 over the "Suggested-Retail" price. (They do offer a $45.00 discount if you sign up for another year with them). NO WAY!
Never met meaner Customer Service people anywhere by besenber ,Jul 19 '04
Pros: Quality tech. Cons: MEAN customer service. High price. Bad reception. Dropped calls.
This has to be the meanest and nastiest customer service call center in the world. Both times I called, I have been whipped by an evil tongue.
On 5.29.04, I was mistakenly charged for a series of downloads to my phone and when I called to correct the error, I was insulted, judged and treated like a child.
I was told that since the charges were on my bill, they must be correct. The manager, #111348, refused to verify the charges, explain how the charges were made or even consider removing the charges.
In fact, I was told by this supervisory agent that I would have to write to customer service to request a correction. So what is the point of calling customer service?
Apparently at T-mobile, it is to get yelled at for theraputive purposes. Save your money, go to someone else.
A great way to waste money!! by fatback5445 ,Oct 12 '08
Pros: Great sales pitch.Very high phone bills, Cons:
I am a 6 year customer,Quality dropped this year.
Horrible service, coverage.Customer service is a joke.25% coverage in Atl.Ga.4 out of 5 calls dropped.Very exspensive family plan.Hotspot works maybe 10% of the time.Sales pich that hotspot would work off of any wifi router. It doesn't.Watch the connection is what they tell you.
T-Mobile CS sucks even more than their phone service by vikbee ,Aug 19 '04
Pros: Roaming in Europe at $5/min + tax! Cons: Poor CS. Overcharging!
Poor coverage + no analog roam.
GSM technology sucks!
GSM technology they use sucks! Whenever the signal is low (happens very often with their poor coverage, and always low in the buildings) all you hear is unrecognizable chunks of the voice! No analog roaming. Roaming itself is an issue.
Each time roaming in Europe they charge for calls never made and voice messages never received. And those roaming charges often exceed $5/min! Customer service is waist of your time! They never accept responsibility and have never refunded me a penny. Always say that those roaming is beyond their control.
Treat Every Customer the Same by liandryn ,Oct 14 '04
Pros: Short wait to speak with a representative Cons: Poor Customer Service Training
Customer Service needs an overhaul! No individual service just a group of employees with scripted answers for customers. Quote from their representative: We treat every customer the same. This is not a service. I am a six year customer and this is my first time dealing with their employees. I hung up from the conversation believing they do not care, and I have received the same treatment from four different employees within the last two months. I have never been so disappointed in a company's procedures.
Get More? What? Bad Service- Dropped Calls by soloart98 ,Sep 12 '04
Pros: Supports Catherine Zeta-Jones lifestyle. Fun commercials. Cons: Everything about this poor excuse for a company.
I will spare you the details of the hundreds of calls I never got, the dozens of wrong number calls I got and when I was in sparsely populated areas like Hollywood, Pasadena, Westwood, Beverly Hills, and Downtown Los Angeles I wasn't able to get any reception at all. All my friends or associates were busy talking away on Verizon or Sprint and poor me - no phone that worked. It happened almost all the time. In fact it was so bad I was actually SURPRISED when I did get a strong signal.
I HAD to move to Verizon to save my business and to be assured i could reach friends and family in an emergency.
Do yourself a favor - Stay away from T-Mobile. You'll Get More alright. More pain in the butt, more headaches, more non-existent customer service.
I'm actually so unhappy with them I'm refusing to pay the early contract fee and I'm reporting them to California Utilities Commission. I'm sure there will be a class action suit in the near future as well. Count me in.
T-Mobile STINKS!!!!!!!!! by melanie1203 ,Jun 20 '05
Pros: a few more anytime minutes Cons: terrible customer service, delays, changes, a stealing your money!
I haven't even gotten my phone yet. They told me I'd receive it in 3-5 business days. Well, it's been two weeks. Customer service is just the PITS! They don't care about the customer. They are inflexible and they will charge your credit card twice if you want your phone to be sent to a different location.
Watch out! You have to be home to sign for your FEDEX package otherwise you will not get the phone. They require a signature no matter what and they will delay you up the f%&*in watusi and DON'T EXPECT TO BE INFORMED IF THERE IS A PROBLEM!
Businessmen and women, don't use this service unless you have your package delivered to your office where your secretary or someone can sign for it. T-Mobile is BAD NEWS!!
