T-mobile, a terrible company
by specialbranch ,Dec 03 '08
Pros: web site works well enough, as does bill review so you can see all charges. Cons: Rude people, constant hidden fees. They lie to customers, awful company.
5 years with t-mobile, 3 phones, moved homes and landed in a dead zone. Got permission to leave contract with 55 days left on it without penalty because there was rotten service at my home (where I also work). Got rep to notate that on my account because I was fearful of the charge. She was adamant there would be no penalty. Got a 200 penalty bill, and then yelled at by rep, and supervisor saying pay up or else get another phone for the 55 days left on the contract. Did that 'cos it was less than the 200 bill. These people were appalling. In five years, have spent more than 8,000 dollars with t-mobile and they still have to screw me for 200 bogus fee, when they are the ones who cannot provide service to my home/workplace. Have dealt with a lot of tricky companies, but t-mobile are hands down the worst. If you need new cell service, avoid these guys like the plague. Plus their plans only look competitive on the outside.

The worst company I have dealt with
by vineman ,Apr 28 '09
Pros: Waltham Cross store staff OK Cons: I even find your"Review Writing Standards" arrogant.
I purchased a web stick a year ago on a two year contract. Three weeks ago it stopped working. I phoned T-Mobile customer services (in Manila, I've since found out) and after fifty minutes I was told that they would send me an envelope to return the stick to be repaired.
I waited a week, and took the stick to my local T-Mobile shop, who sent it off. The envelope arrived three days later. Today I received a text from the shop to say the stick had been returned. I went to the shop to be told that the stick had not been repaired as it had sustained damage, presumably I pay the remaining 12 monthly payments for no service.
I had foolishly bought a T-Mobile pay as you go stick to tide me over, it took 40 minutes on the phone to Manila to get the adult content bar removed, and I am still unable to top-up on line.

T-Mobile Terrible Customer Service Very Poor customer service Harsh and argumentative
by ckelly50 ,Dec 08 '04
Pros: Free phones, national coverage, Website that works to pay your bill . Cons: Used to be a good company to deal with. Very harsh with customers
I find it hard to believe that T-Mobile would treat their customers with such harshness and disregard.
I have been a T-Mobile customer for about 2 years. That means they have at least $50 a month from me. Well I paid my most recent bill online( as I always do). I was shocked when I found out by a friend that my phone had been shut off. I called T-Mobile and asked them why they didn't text message me or email me- I guess when online I put an incorrect digit for the credit card number!
Their response is "we are under no obiligation to contact your regarding this error" In other words "tough". The phone number was on my resume and I wonder if someone tried to call me.
This is just too much- No way I'm giving my money to T-mobile.

Worst Experience ever!!!
by orangehead911 ,Mar 22 '04
Pros: NONE Cons: Everything
I just got off the phone with a T-Mobile Customer Service Supervisor.
I was calling to resolve a mail-in rebate offer that their rebate center refused to honor. Though my approach to the offer was unorthodox, I was promised on several different occasions that the rebate offer was valid and that I qualified for it. I ordered the new phone and submitted the rebate form. To my utter disgust, the rebate request was declined. Not once, but twice.
Of course, T-Mobile customer service, in their ineptitude, is unable to help.
On other occasions I have made requests to the customer service department, with either no or very limited luck. They are not there to serve you, rather only to serve their corporate greed.
Whatever you do, don't get a T-Mobile account ever!!! You will be sorry...

Customer Service - Poor
by jrjackso ,Oct 14 '04
Pros: Comparable monthly service costs Cons: Mis-leading charges for replacement phones.
Very disappointed. Receive different information from different service reps. Replacement costs for phones and are not provided on the website. Instead the "suggested-retail" price (and subsequent rebate price is provided). If you need a replacement phone and do not qualify for the rebate... the price you may is (in my case) upwards of $100.00 over the "Suggested-Retail" price. (They do offer a $45.00 discount if you sign up for another year with them). NO WAY!

Never met meaner Customer Service people anywhere
by besenber ,Jul 19 '04
Pros: Quality tech. Cons: MEAN customer service. High price. Bad reception. Dropped calls.
This has to be the meanest and nastiest customer service call center in the world. Both times I called, I have been whipped by an evil tongue.
On 5.29.04, I was mistakenly charged for a series of downloads to my phone and when I called to correct the error, I was insulted, judged and treated like a child.
I was told that since the charges were on my bill, they must be correct. The manager, #111348, refused to verify the charges, explain how the charges were made or even consider removing the charges.
In fact, I was told by this supervisory agent that I would have to write to customer service to request a correction. So what is the point of calling customer service?
Apparently at T-mobile, it is to get yelled at for theraputive purposes. Save your money, go to someone else.

T-Mobile CS sucks even more than their phone service
by vikbee ,Aug 19 '04
Pros: Roaming in Europe at $5/min + tax! Cons: Poor CS. Overcharging!
Poor coverage + no analog roam.
GSM technology sucks!
GSM technology they use sucks! Whenever the signal is low (happens very often with their poor coverage, and always low in the buildings) all you hear is unrecognizable chunks of the voice! No analog roaming. Roaming itself is an issue.
Each time roaming in Europe they charge for calls never made and voice messages never received. And those roaming charges often exceed $5/min! Customer service is waist of your time! They never accept responsibility and have never refunded me a penny. Always say that those roaming is beyond their control.

Treat Every Customer the Same
by liandryn ,Oct 14 '04
Pros: Short wait to speak with a representative Cons: Poor Customer Service Training
Customer Service needs an overhaul! No individual service just a group of employees with scripted answers for customers. Quote from their representative: We treat every customer the same. This is not a service. I am a six year customer and this is my first time dealing with their employees. I hung up from the conversation believing they do not care, and I have received the same treatment from four different employees within the last two months. I have never been so disappointed in a company's procedures.

Get More? What? Bad Service- Dropped Calls
by soloart98 ,Sep 12 '04
Pros: Supports Catherine Zeta-Jones lifestyle. Fun commercials. Cons: Everything about this poor excuse for a company.
I will spare you the details of the hundreds of calls I never got, the dozens of wrong number calls I got and when I was in sparsely populated areas like Hollywood, Pasadena, Westwood, Beverly Hills, and Downtown Los Angeles I wasn't able to get any reception at all. All my friends or associates were busy talking away on Verizon or Sprint and poor me - no phone that worked. It happened almost all the time. In fact it was so bad I was actually SURPRISED when I did get a strong signal.
I HAD to move to Verizon to save my business and to be assured i could reach friends and family in an emergency.
Do yourself a favor - Stay away from T-Mobile. You'll Get More alright. More pain in the butt, more headaches, more non-existent customer service.
I'm actually so unhappy with them I'm refusing to pay the early contract fee and I'm reporting them to California Utilities Commission. I'm sure there will be a class action suit in the near future as well. Count me in.

T-Mobile STINKS!!!!!!!!!
by melanie1203 ,Jun 20 '05
Pros: a few more anytime minutes Cons: terrible customer service, delays, changes, a stealing your money!
I haven't even gotten my phone yet. They told me I'd receive it in 3-5 business days. Well, it's been two weeks. Customer service is just the PITS! They don't care about the customer. They are inflexible and they will charge your credit card twice if you want your phone to be sent to a different location.
Watch out! You have to be home to sign for your FEDEX package otherwise you will not get the phone. They require a signature no matter what and they will delay you up the f%&*in watusi and DON'T EXPECT TO BE INFORMED IF THERE IS A PROBLEM!
Businessmen and women, don't use this service unless you have your package delivered to your office where your secretary or someone can sign for it. T-Mobile is BAD NEWS!!
