Dell UltraSharp 1905FP (Gray) 19" LCD Monitor

Pros: Affordable. Accessible USB ports.
Cons: Serious deterioration of screen within six months.

We have been using dual 19" 1905FP monitors at 12 workstations for six months and have already found serious burning in of images, as well as streaks, blobs and bands in the displays.

Pros: Easy set up!
Cons: None so far.

After a lot of looking on the web for a LCD monitor I gave this one a try. I am not at all unhappy! Great first monitor. I was a little apprehensive of the 20ms response time because I do use it for gaming. Mostly EverQuest and EverQuest II. No ghosting and great picture!

Pros: sharp, very well designed, looks great on your desk, no dead pixels

Excellent monitor for its price (I bought for ~490CAD): sharp, very well designed, adjustable; 2 cables (digital & analog) in the box; I would highly recommend it for anybody who doesn't consider himself "very picky graphic designer".

Pros: Clarity, color and size are excellent.
Cons: Died after 10 months.

I purchased 2 Dell UltraSharp 1905FP monitors around the same time. I was ecstatic about the monitors when I received them. However, one of the monitors died less than 10 months later. Since I didn't purchase them from Dell, there is no warranty! Definitely not worth the investment. Stick to lower priced models to increase your ROI.

Pros: Very sharp clear and bright image especially using Clear Type.
Cons: Could be better instructions on installing the driver.

Very nice monitor and the price can't be beat. Lots of features like USB ports and DVI and VGA that can be used at the same time with switching via the button on the front panel. I have one at home and at work.

Pros: Can do 90 degree turn on the monitor. Good for work & play
Cons: Did not come with pivot software driver

I bought Dell 1905FP monitor.
I had the 19inch monitor for a month now and it is still doing well. I have now added Dell speakers A.S. 500 on to my 1905FP and it was easy to install on the monitor and the speakers play good music like Itunes or DVD movies. ( check on the Dell website to find out on the A.S. 500 speakers and price) I had no dead pixels or light leakages. I am very glad to have a good monitor with out problems. I got the 19inch monitor at a good price. Dell was offering 20% discount for one week so I jump at the chance and when it came, the 19inch monitor was easy to set up and plug in my computer.
