Dell UltraSharp 2000FP 20"
by slegsonly ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: Easy to setup, analog, digital, S-video,composite video inputs with built in USB hub Cons: Nothing of concern
Fantastic, large flat panel. Was looking at Proview 20.1 but found Dell's monitor discounted by $250.00. Fast refresh @16 ms with no noticeable ghosting for gamers. Monitor also turns for portrait view. Here is the link. http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1918

Dell UltraSharp 2000FP 20"
by Christofu ,Dec 20 '03
Pros: Space saving, high quality monitor with a large viewing area for a reasonable, competitive price. Cons: Dark colorway and some difficulty in cleaning the LCD.
I have used the Dell Ultrasharp 2000FP 20" for about four months now and must report that I have no problems, whatsoever, with this monitor. High resolutions can be achieved that are usually not available on other monitors. I believe that Dell monitors, which I believe are LG rebadges, are excellent value buys for the cost-conscious electronics consumer.
I purchased this product primarily for home use, mostly with basic applications such as word processing and accounting utilities. I occasionally use graphics-intensive applications such as a photo editor and play high-end games and report that the contrast, shifting, and color patterns perform highly and admirably. When paired with a mid to high end video graphics card, this monitor does its job.
Being about 3" thick (profile), it occupies very little space on your desktop. It is stylish enough, even with new monitors appearing on the market monthly.
As for some dislikes, I cannot think of any at this moment. Perhaps those looking for a white/cream colored monitor maybe out of luck, as Dell usually sells black/dark gray colored monitors. Also, the LCD is difficult to clean, but this is the case with almost all LCDs.
