Pros: Excellent sound quality and range. Not heavy.
Cons: Can't make any calls, because half of the buttons won't work anymore.

The call quality on this phone is excellent. The range is very good also, and the price, unbelievable. I loved this phone. That is, until some of the buttons became harder and harder to push in. Now it is almost impossible to use. If you push a number too hard, it registers like you pushed it twice, forcing you to hang up and try again, and again, and again. I have had this phone less than a year, but I no longer have the receipt. I gave up today and went out to buy a new one.

Pros: No pros which outweigh the serious defects in this phone model 27928GE1
Cons: BATTERY problem not covered by warranty, defective buttons/keypad, batteries die within minutes.

Faulty keypad and batteries within months, NOT covered by warranty even though new.

We purchased this 2.4 GH phone model 27928GE1 WITHIN the last 9 months and experienced the keypad/buttons problems starting a month ago and worsening steadily to the point of 4-5 failed attempts to dial before actually succeeding in making a call. The keypad is no longer responsive when caller presses buttons with normal pressure. If you use more pressure, the keypad registers multiple inputs of the same digit when pressed more forcefully (ie. press "1" but the phone dials "1-1-1").

But even more troublesome than the dysfunctional keypad, THE BATTERIES DIE WITHIN MINUTES>>> EVEN IF NOT IN USE!!!

This battery problem is severe and NOT COVERED FOR REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT BY THE GE WARRANTY. The problems occurred within my warranty period but are NOT covered.

Pros: The store had a good return policy
Cons: Useless piece of junk!

I got this phone as a gift and was very pleased with it, for a week at least. Very shortly after purchase the batter would not last longer than ten minutes. The phone had to be kept on the charger continually otherwise it would not ring. Within a month the phone died completely, nothing could be done with it. Figuring it was just a dud I exchanged my phone for a new one of the same model. The exact same thing happened with the second phone. This is a terrible product and I would not recommend it to anybody.

Pros: It doesn't cost much. You get what you pay for.
Cons: Made in China.You get what you pay for.

Got as a gift. The phone has poor battery life (two sets of batteries in one year), poor range, and will frequently pick up other cordless phones in the area.
The buttons have to be pressed repeatedly to dial and the handset is heavy. It gets hot while on the charging stand.
The third set of batteries are dying and when they do, it's going in the trash. Less than 18 months old.
