I picked these up after quickly tiring of the headphones that came with my discman. These phones are really comfortable, and because they aren't quite as large and bulky as the classic studio headphones, you can easily wear them out and about. Despite being a bit smaller than the studio-type headphones, they do provide superior sound (when compared to ear buds or the flimsy kind that come with most cd players). They have nice deep bass, and fairly good mids and highs. Another nice feature is the length of the cord. If working at a stationary location, you can easily leave your music source in one place and move around without worrying about accidentally unplugging. The cups also block out most background noises; nice to have on the bus or in a somewhat noisy setting.
