Pros: Powerful and shape is trim. Dirt indicator. Great tool carrier.
Cons: Parts break. On-Off Switch wrong place. Must use screwdriver to get to belts/beater bar.
Summary: I paid close to $300 for mine. I had two other Hoovers which worked perfectly and lasted a long time. However, this expensive one worked beautifully for about 6 months then on and off the beater bar would not rotate. Belts wore out excessively fast.

Pros: Difficult to think of a single one, adequate suction, I guess.
Cons: Cheap construction. Flimsy controls and switches. Burdensome weight. Unresponsive self-propulsion. Poor attachment tubing. Jerky. Noisy.

Pros: Great at cleaning carpets, when it works.
Cons: Shuts off after about 5 minutes of vacuuming.

Pros: Great suction, easy to use, great for allergies!
Cons: Standard hose for attachments rather short and not as flexible as could be.
Summary: This vacuum cleaner has my best rating (and I've owned several that were more expensive). Great suction and the self-propel makes for easy work. Since allergies are a factor I wanted a bagged unit since emptying dust containers tends to stir up dust.
