Pros: Immaculate, gorgeous rooms, good food Cons: COLD whirlpool, construction closed some of the beach
I had read mixed reviews about the St Kitts Royal Resort, so I was unsure as to what to expect upon arrival in St Kitts this January. I was pleasantly surprised. We were transported by taxi to the resort, and compared to the other hotels on the island, ...

Pros: beautiful Cons: need more training
Let me begin by saying that I travel over 140 days a year. If you are not a big traveler you can get "status" when you stay a certain number of nights with each chain. I am Marriott Platinum (over 75 nights a year)member and a pretty good judge on ...

Pros: Beautiful place. Cons: Too expensive
Just got back from 7 days / nights at the St. Kitts Marriott. While the property is beautiful, it is very expensive and not a good value unless you are a CEO or something like that. This is a place where you will pay upwards of $300 US per night for ...

New Hotel on Slow Paced Island
by smurray130 ,Oct 01 '04
Pros: New hotel with large pool. Cons: Flies everywhere, beach is OK, boring island.
Modern, large new hotel on a sleepy island. Big resort with a nice pool, casino and beach. Not much to do on the island. Shopping is very limited. Restaurants at the hotel serve good food, but a big problem with FLIES everywhere. Service is fair to poor -- locals seem very unmotivated and/or poorly trained. Not the nicest of Carribean resorts -- a 3 star type property posing as more.

GREAT HOTEL/BEAUTIFUL ISLAND
by kolshansky ,Feb 19 '05
Pros: A FIRST CLASS FULL SERVICE RESORT Cons: The main town is not particularly developed so shopping may be limited
The ST. Kitts Marriott is a great resort for a quiet beach vacation or a family vacation as well. Marriott spared no expense when they built this resort(2003). It is a large hotel with beautifully landscaped grounds but has a very quiet private feel to it. The rooms are gorgeous with many ocean views as well as views of the mountains. Most rooms have Jacuzzis!. The beach is huge with many "Sun Huts" available, unlike some other resorts. There are three beautiful very large pools spread out over the property with the two outer ones offering a quiet atmosphere where the middle one offers more activities, especially for families, if you desire. The fitness center and Spa are first class and the restaurants offer a nice variety of price ranges and menus. The Staff were kind and very solicitous which really added to the whole experience. For those who are looking for other diversions, there are the usual(golf, tennis, etc.) but the Island also offers it's beauty with trips into the rainforest as well as hikes up to the top of their volcano(dormant!!!!).We've been to many Marriott resorts and this is also a WINNER!!!!!
