Not XP-Compatible
by bvckvs ,Feb 24 '04
Pros: VERY inexpensive Cons: Difficult to configure, unreliable, not supported by XP
This motherboard is NOT on Microsoft's HCL (Hardware Compatibility List). The integrated multimedia, specifically the VIA AGP chips, do not work well with high-end AGP video cards like the ATI All-In-Wonder - under Windows XP.
The USB 2.0 chipset requires proprietary drivers, available on Elite's web site - but not included with Windows 2000/XP installation CD's.
From time to time, CMOS forgets to let you hit [Delete} during POST - thus disabling the ability to get into the CMOS configuration and fix it. This means that you MUST have a PS2 keyboard handy.

I have had the board for a couple years
by cmp-network ,Jan 17 '08
Pros: pretty simple, can swap back and fourth via memory (sdram, ddr ram) Cons: the drivers need to be more xp compliant
the board is pretty simple if you know how to use the manual and know what all the hardware is. For new computer users it might seem difficult to deal with since yes some drivers you gotta search for but overall it does a pretty good job. I built my own system so i know what i was getting into before i bought this board.
