Pros: decent image quality
Cons: Locks up constantly, very slow and unreliable. A waste of time and money.

The "panel" software interface locks up 98% of the time. The images are good quality when it does scan, but it is very slow, when it finally starts to scan. I got this scanner free as a promotional gift. I would only be more disappointed if I had paid for it. It is powered by the computer via the USB cable, no external power supply is needed, or used. I personally will not own another scanner that does not use a separate power supply, but that is my opinion. I have the scanner attached to a 866Mhz PIII, running Windows ME.
