Pros: Great car control, great car variety, open-ended world, tons of aftermarket parts Cons: Lackluster soundtrack, REALLY fake engine noises, repetitive near end of game, some AI problems
After the tremendous success of its first underground racing game, it only made sense when EA Games released Need For Speed Underground 2. By combining the diverse variety of everyday street cars, right-on controls, and the best customization of any ...
Pros: Outstanding soundtrack and fast-moving game. Lots of fun! Cons: Some generic performance customizations... probably rectified in NFS2?

A Very Entertaining Racing Game by orliplayer ,May 28 '05
Pros: 60 hours of racing, great sense of speed, tons of customization, high replay value Cons: It's always at night, tracks look almost the same.
Well, I have played NFSU a lot now and let me tell you it's still as fun as the first day i bought it. The game is well organized with tons of racing courses, complete car customization, different racing styles and the most popular car brands for car fans. The sense of speed is quite good, considering that this is the place where most racing games fall short, so when you see that the speedometer is reaching 80 mph, the action on-screen feels like it is going at that speed.
All in all, this is a great buy, don't pass it up.
A Game Definitely Worth Your Time by sparkulus ,Dec 23 '04
Pros: Interactive environment, parts and accessories, realistic properties of gameplay, game choices, and tuning/dyno feature Cons: constant traveling from A to B in the city
Underground 2 is a completely redesigned and improved game over the original. The game's interactive environment isn't original, but it adds loads of replay value to the game. The huge selection of cars, body parts, accessories, wheels, and paints ensures that each car is unique. The game incorporates a tuning feature to allow you to tweak your car to fit your style. Handling of cars is different between front, back, and all-wheel drive cars. The gameplay is excellent and will occupy you for hours. The huge number of options in the game help dissolve the monotony of the campaign-style setup. The game is definitely solid with no huge deficiencies, other then the occasional bore of driving across the city from race to race.
