I was very disappointed in my first and only order from 1stperfume. The Calyx I ordered is in a beat up, used box, that someone has peeled a label off of and the perfume itself is discolored as if it is very very old. It looks like something someone would try to sell on a yard sale. I also ordered Lancomes Miracle and it looks ok, but I am suspicious of the quality (age) based on the Calyx. Neither of my items were labeled as "testers" so I did not expect this condition. I will be returning both items.

There are problems with this online store. First and most important uneven product quality. Out of the 4 items that I ordered the 2 Penhaligon Violetta were stale, old, off. The Tatiana Bath Oil and Caleche Eau de Delicate were fine. Second, there was no phone number. Big problem. My e-mails to them do not go through. Third there was no receipt for my order and no return address on the box. The perfume came quickly. I will not order from them again as I reviewed the other comments and my observations are consistent with other customers comments. I would say it is a gamble as to what you will get,

Very unhappy with the service. First, they didn't send me the correct item, instead shipping a cheaper product. Then they threatened me with a 15% restocking fee to return the product and told me I'd have to pay for shipping. Eventually, they put the shipping cost on UPS and told me to write "Refused" and drop off at a UPS store. It was agreed that when the product was returned, they would ship the correct item ASAP and not charge a restocking fee. TWO WEEKS later, they send me an e-mail saying that they will credit my account, and not ship the correct item.
I'm very unhappy. Even a discount retailer should have better service than this. If you read the reviews, they try to trick people a lot by charging for the item you order and sending a cheaper one.

I am a perfumania, that means I collect perfumes. I'm a returning customer to couple shops online, and this store is the worst I've ever experienced because they don't have a phone number for me to reach them. They sent me the wrong item, and ask me to pay for shipping back to them for exchange. The couple questions I had could be answered in 1 phone call. But unfortunately I had to email them back and forth and not getting my questions answered until 7 days later.
I ordered Chanel fragrance that cost $140.00 they sent me a substitute that they sell for $70.00 I was politely emailing them asking for a number to call them to "how to exchange" and no apology was giving and ask me to return on my own expense.
I say, this store has good selection of merchants, main problem is they do need a telephone for customers to reach when something is not right, especially when the store made a mistake.
I spent at least $1500.00 on perfume each year, unfortunately, I will not buy again from 1st perfume, unless they provide a better attitude. I wish good luck for you.

This company is the worst that I've ever dealt with after 7 days and at least 3 emails , they finally told me my order was cancelled and would refund my money but didn't say when. UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY AND WHEN YOU'LL GET YOUR STUFF IF EVER DON'T ORDER FROM HERE!
Quick, easy, and complete. I was able to get something that I had looked for elsewhere, but most people I spoke to had never heard of it. I am thrilled! And I got it gift wrapped free!!
I had a horrible experience. The worst website i have ever dealt with. So much hassle over getting a order correct. I bought bvlagari men's cologne, new in a box but i received a used, uncapped, unboxed , scratched up bottle. I called to let them know. They said to send it back and they would take care of it but in 7-10 days. So i said forget it and refund me my money. I just got my credit for the cologne only. They ate $15 worth of shipping, even though on the website it says if it is their fault they will fully refund everything. I'm angry that i needed it for a b-day gift 2 weeks ago. I am never shopping their again, nor will i recommend it to anyone. I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau.
I live in France, I don't find my perfume here anymore. Even in US, it's rare and hard to find but I found it on 1st Perfume! They allow you to pay by Paypal (perfect because my french credit card is not OK on lot's of US website ). They don't ship international, as lots of perfume sellers, so they have sent it (very quickly) to a NY friend of mine who came in Paris : perfect. I'm really happy and I will continue to purchase on their website. Read more

I received my purchase very quickly. I knew that it was not going to be in a box but was surprised to find no top to the spray bottle - spray was present but no top. Since I have one, that wasn't a big deal but if I had known that ahead of time, I may not have purchased the item. Read more

I had no trouble navigating the 1st Perfume site and found it to be one of the best I have used. Henceforth, when I need something for the wife in this area, I will definitely go to their site first and have it bookmarked for that reason. Thanks to them, she has what she wants and I get to play the hero for finding it for her after her grown son went to the only site he knew looking for it and told her it was not available on the net. I would like for the company to mail me a return slip and send me another item that is new. This is what I thought I was going to receive in the first place.
