Ordered a dresser. Nowhere online did it say that the dresser required assembly - we're talking FULL assembly. If you are an adult who enjoyed Legos as a child, you might enjoy spending the hours required to assemble your own furniture. After I spent all afternoon assembling the dresser, I was unhappy with the overall quality. Don't know yet if I will keep the dresser, or if I will try to ship it back (will require un-assembly, I suppose).

Worst online purchasing experience I have ever had!!

I purchased a leather bed from Bedroom Furniture Direct in Feb. 2006 and their website said it would ship within 1-2 weeks. It has been 2 months now and the bed is still sitting in a warehouse in Indiana and no one can tell me when it will actually be put on a truck to be delivered to me. This has been one of the worst possible online purchasing experiences I have ever had and I would never buy from this company again. Customer service told me 5 days in a row that my bed would be shipped "tomorrow" - I finally told them I no longer believed them. Then they sent me a tracking number for the shipment but when I looked this tracking number up it was just the shipment of my bed to a warehouse where it is still sitting. Be very wary of this company as the information on their website is totally inaccurate and their customer service group bobs and weaves better than a pro-boxer. New Update: NEVER received merchandise and had to cancel my payment by credit card for non-delivery.

Sent me a damaged piece and when UPS sent it back they couldnt ship me a new item for 16 days so i had to cancel the order . a man only has so much patience.

Given up on receiving furniture, but not on refund!

I purchased a bunkbed from Bedroom Furniture Direct. The website said 3 weeks shipping max. I called customer service to make sure the bed was in stock and ready to ship. After a month without receipt, I started calling customer service. A few calls later they told me the bed was lost in shipping and they did not have a bed in stock. They would order another from the manufacturer. They kept extending their receipt dates. Finally after three months, I gave up and asked for a refund. At first I was told I could not receive a refund since it was shipped to me originally. A manager finally agreed to give me a full refund. However, a month later I still have not received the refund. They are always looking into it.
Update: Finally received full refund. Want to summarize that I understand "stuff" happens, however I decided to write a negative review because of the amount of effort required on my part, which I deem excessive, to stay on top of the status of my order and refund. Stay vigilant if you decide to buy from this company!

We were very impressed with the quality of our bedroom furniture and the price was very reasonable. We feel that we actually saved a lot of money. We shopped around at local stores and found the best deal with Bedroom Furniture Direct. The quality of the furniture far surpassed what we saw in our local furniture stores and we paid quite a bit less!
The ordering process, customer service and delivery was outstanding. We highly recommend Bedroom Furniture Direct and would purchase from them again.

Terrible Service, Bad Order Tracking, Unrealistic Delivery Dates, Unreliable

I ordered the "Maple Sonoma Platform Captain's Bed" on 7/11. After two weeks one of two packages arrived. The other was lost somewhere in Canada. Telephone customer service is useless. BFD initially wanted me to wait two weeks to complete a UPS "trace". I emailed the CEO and said this unacceptable. BFD got back and agreed to ship a replacement "immediately". I was sent a UPS tracking number on 8/1. On 8/10 UPS said that the package was never presented for shipment. BFD offered to send *another* replacement. I declined and cancelled order. Now I have 100+ pounds of useless lumber sitting in my hall, six weeks after I originally placed my order.

I purchased a children's Captain's Bed with positive results from Bedroom Furniture Direct. I first found the bed online and then called the 1-800# to verify they had the item in stock. The operator answered the phone almost immediately and was very pleasant to deal with. I then ordered the bed online without any issues. I received a confirmation email immediately, followed by a second email when the item shipped. They provided a tracking #, so I was able to follow the shipment as it traveled across the country (from WA to GA). The bed was made of solid construction and the minimal required assembly was simple to accomplish. Very pleased with my total transaction.

On-line site was great and products shipped quickly (within the earliest part of their estimated time-frame). About 20% of the order arrived damaged. Even tho the shipping company was clearly at fault for some of the damage, Bedroom Direct sent replacement furniture without any hassle and I didn't have to deal with the shipping company at all - that was great. Even though we were disappointed in the packing and shipping, we were overall satisfied with the product and customer service. They made it right.

Damaged headboard recieved in reasonable time. Phone call to get replacement part - wrong part sent. Phone call to notify of problem. Representative wasn't that knowledgeable but problem was finally made clear. Promised quick resolution but it is over 1 week and new part not received yet.

1. Got Norton warning that security certificates on this site are not right which restricts certain display items.
First time I did not see the "Set" option and thought I was buying a set and now cannot get the footboard separately. Also the adapter plate does not fit my standard bed frame but they cannot offer any replacement/fix.

The selection was great however the delivery has been far from acceptable (delivery agent is Home Direct USA). I first noticed that our order was delayed in Indiana. I called, after it had sat there for 3 days. The customer service agents were not helpful at all. I ended up calling 3 times with no firm answers. It ended up sitting in that warehouse from 7/7 to 7/17! Finally it has moved to a warehouse in my area but I have still not received a call to receive the product. I am very diappointed with carrier who has been handling this delivery. In the future, I suggest Bedroom Furniture Direct contracts with a more responsible carrier.

The bed arrived with a lower support broken in two pieces. Our son-in-law was visiting and repaired it. He felt someone on the loading dock had probably set it down without support, therefore it cracked, being just particle board. The drawers were not assembled. I'd phoned twice to be sure they were pre-assembled. Your reps weren't sure but assumed that was the case. We're lucky our son-in-law did the necessary assembling. Overall I appreciate the experience in general and am happy to have the merchandise.

Good web site & prices but still haven't received the merchandise after 3 weeks. I was unable to determine the cause for the delay without a phone call; but was informed that the headboards are custom made after the order is placed. An informative note regarding estimated delay for custom manufacture at this listing on the web site would be better; & so would an order tracking info spot on "my account," so I could log on & see if the headboards are made yet, shipped yet, etc.

I had to call the shipping company to arrange a date for delivery. At that time I left my work phone number for an expected call the next day. The shipping company did not call my work number but called my home number instead. This required another followup call by me to find out the delivery window. Also, when the dresser was delivered there was a small nick on one of the drawers that requires attention. I will hide the nick with a furniture mar stick.

They were very good about contacting me that there was a delay in shipping, however it was a little amusing that they sent an automated email to tell me my item had shipped and then it actually arrived that same day. So the email was a little behind what was actually happening with the purchase.
