Placed order for 4 different items on the 15th of November. 2 of the items were pre-orders for the 18th.

1 item shipped on the 17th via post office. Received no problem.

Item #2 (pre-order item) shipped on the 18th via USPS. Tracking information states this package arrived at my local postal facility (same zip code even) on the 24th. I have not received item yet. Best Buy will do nothing about this until 21 days after I placed original order. Today is December 6th. Still need to wait before I can get a refund on this item since I had to purchase it elsehwere now.

Item #3 shipped out on the 19th. (pre order) Received no problem.

Item #4 shipped out on the 20th. No tracking information available. No package as of today the 6th of December. Again, best buy customer support states 21 days after original shipping they will do something about it.


Overall 50/50 on this order. But by far the worst online experience I have ever had with any retail or personal online transaction in the years I have been doing this. I will NOT be doing business with best buy anymore.

I have ordered from bestbuy.com three times now. The first order was for one item and it took quite a while to arrive. The second order was for 12 DVD's (one of their $7.99 sales). I received the order in 4 separate packages with a 8 days period of time. Took about 10 days to receive the first of the four packages. And my last, and FINAL order with bestbuy.com was for some DVD+R's. Delivery time: 12 days. Most of the deliveries were only a few days in the mail, the problem is with getting stuff out of their warehouse. All my orders took 7 to 9 days from order to the start of shipping. You would think being such a big company, they would be able to get things out within 24-48 hours.

Shades of Bait and Switch ??? I placed an order for a television, received an order confirmation at 2:21 pm and a order cancellation at 3:38 pm of the same day. The reason for the cancellation: my information could not be verified. I called Best Buy and was told they did not know why. I called my credit card company and was told that Best Buy had been given an approval for the charge. Then I revisited the website and noticed that the price of the item had increased. Now I know why my order was canceled - because Best Buy did not want to fill the order at the price advertised. DO NOT COUNT ON BEST BUY TO SELL FOR ADVERTISED PRICES !!!!!!!!!!!

I have purchased a lot of things at great prices from bestbuy online especially since they started offering free shipping. I hate going to the store, it reminds me of Walmart.

I do have one warning though. I bought a warranty for a product and when I went to use it, they gave me a really hard time. They sent out unexperienced technicians that made my problem worst instead of better. Every time they broke a part I had to wait several weeks for another one. I get no replacement or loaner. I have been without my TV for 9.5 weeks now. They NEVER call when they say they will.
Don't buy anything from them that is expense enough to warrant getting a warranty. You will never get satisfactory results from it.

The worst place to buy something.

They did not stock the expansion handset for a Motorola cordless phone. Said to get it from their online store. Online store does not stock it. Called customer service who said to get it from the manufacturer. Called the store manager and asked if they could order it for me. He said the store has no control over what they stock or can order.

Their customer service stinks and the people are not knowledgable about the products they carry. Very poor service. Go somewhere else.

I ordered a SONY LCD TV from Best Buy.com on 1/12/05 and it never arrived. The "Free" Koss Entertainment System that was part of the Best Buy package deal did show up however. Best Buy cancelled my order after almost a month passed due to lack of stock on the SONY I paid for. Now they refuse to pay for the return shipping on the "free" Koss system and took $140.00 out of my refund (they also charged me for shipping to my house twice!) I am now stuck with a Koss unit I never wanted! I was forced to file a complaint with the State of Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office. All of my calls to customer service were a joke.

It was relatively easy to check out and order the product. However, I was greatly disappointed when I preordered the CD and received it 2 days after it was released in stores. I preordered it so I could have it on time without making a trip to the store. I was unsure whether or not it would make it. I didn't contact customer service, but I have not had a good experience with it in the past. Overall, I was not satisfied.

Worst online retailer I've ever dealt with

I ordered a home theater system (Pioneer HTD-630DV) from Best Buy. Out of stock, expected delivery in 10 days. Next I get a notice that item is on backorder, expected delivery in 20 days. Then I get an email stating that backorder is about to expire, but I can extend it for 30 days. Called customer service and extended backorder for 30 days, received confirmation by email. Customer service can give me no info on when item is expected to be back in stock. 21 days after extending backorder, I check order status on web site. Order has been canceled with no notification to me.

I originally ordered because the item was on special at an excellent price ( their regular prices are among the highest I've seen), with free shipping, and a free DVD movie.

My opinion is that the item was never in stock and was just being used to draw traffic to their web site (the item is not carried in their stores and pick-up at a store was not available). In other words, I feel I've been lied to the whole time and I HATE liars. Don't buy anything from this merchant!

I am a divorced father of a 12 year old, who resides in another state. I have been using the on Best Buy on line ordering system for the last 3 years for birthdays, and Christmas gifts. Finding they have always come through without a service issue once. Not just one purchase but many numerous orders that I've placed. Best Buy has made many occasions happy ones for my little girl.

Ordered notebook memory online (Kingston with rebate). They sent me desktop memory instead. Then ordered it for in-store pickup. They gave me desktop memory again, even though the Best Buy clerk doing the return verified that the item description was notebook memory. Emailed customer support. They tried to pull a bait and switch by offering higher-priced memory. When I pointed out bait and switch was illegal, they stopped responding. Wrote a letter to the CEO, never heard back. Useless customer service only tells what any idiot could figure out for themselves.

THE EXTENDED WARRANTY IS A RIP-OFF

WE PAID $69.99 FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON AN IPOD. THE CLIP THAT THEY SOLD US WITH IT BROKE AND THE IPOD FELL. WE BROUGHT IT BACK TO BE REPAIRED, ONLY TO FIND THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ONLY COVERS MANUFACTURER'S DEFECTS, UNLESS THE DAMAGE IS FROM AN ELECTRIC SURGE. IN ADDITION, THEY CHARGED US $24, TO RETURN THE ITEM TO THE MANUFACTURER. WHAT A RIP-OFF. I WON'T SHOP HERE AGAIN.

Worst customer "CARE" service ever experienced.

I made a purchase from the BestBuy.com online and expected a tax refund promised 2 months ago. For the past week that I attempted to inquire the status of my refund, since it is required by law, and I was getting no where with no one from the department who can assist with my problem. It has been convey to me that the problem cannot be resolve by any one in the department and no one that I can talk to for resolution of this issue. I am suppose to expect a response from their corporate response team to get back with me and so far nothing yet. It is just unsatisfying to know that no one I can talk to resolve a problem they have cause. The customer care department does not have a supervisor, a complain department, or even a phone number to someone who can correct this problem. This has been simply the worst experience I have ever encountered.

Best Buy ...good for a run-around. On-line order didn't work properly so I missed their 'special'. Customer service made promises that were not honored then said all records of the communication didn't exist. Nobody I dealt with cares about customer service there.

I just had the WORST shopping experience of my life at Best Buy! The customer service was non-existent. Even the store manager was a jerk. When I called their customer service line to complain about my experience, the CSR immediately reversed the store manager's decision but the store manager STILL REFUSED. Arrogant fool. Last time I do business at this store.

W A R N I N G...DO NOT BUY FROM BESTBUY.COM...I ordered a simple DVD . 30 days ago and I have not received it to date. BESTBUY.COM can not take responsibility and blames the post office. They made me wait 3 weeks until they said they would claim it as lost or stolen. AT that point they said they would send me paperwork to get a refund. It's been 11 days and counting... NO PAPER WORK. I called again and the LIARS said they had no record of me calling. OH YEAH they did not have a problem charging my credit card within the first couples of days after my order had been placed...BUYER BEWARE!!!
