I ordered a Kodak CX6330 with a free 64MB SD Card free. Since I did not understand the instructions to place the free item in the shopping basket I did not get the card. After several contacts by phone and email to Best Buy I was told "sorry but we can not send you the card now". I immediately returned the camera to the closest Best Buy and went to Wal-Mart where I got a better price and better service. I hope I never have to shop on-line at Best Buy again.
Ordered item for the holiday on 12/19/03 item was to arrive before the holiday I received email 12/20/03 item was shipped and included tracking number they took the money from my debit card 12/20/03 I still have not received my item that I paid for today is 1/05/06 On 12/26/03 I called customer service they told me I had to wait until 1/02/04 and if it did not arrive call back 1/02/03 no package arrived so I called only to find out I had to make another call back 21 days from the date of shipping I tried everyday to track that number thru the postal service they report that number does not exist THEY TOOK MY MONEY 12/20/03 AND PROVIDED ME WITH A TRACKING NUMBER THAT DID NOT EXIST and still will not give me my money back until my 21 days I will never shop at any best buy store again

On Nov. 1, I pre-ordered a video game that was being released on Dec. 12th for my son, for Christmas. On Dec 13th, I received an email telling me that the item was back ordered and would not ship in time for Christmas. Which meant I now needed to go out and try to find this high-demand video game during the holiday rush - which is what I was avoiding by pre-ordering with Best Buy. I then called Best Buy to cancel the order. After 32 minutes on the phone, and being transferred to 9 different people I was able to FINALLY cancel my order.

The orders were shipped in a relatively timely fashion, but I placed two orders back to back that wound up getting shipped from the same location 24 hours apart.
During the Christmas season, it may take 4+ hours for a "Store Pickup" order to receive an e-mail confirmation. Don't try to pick it up until you get the confirmation, because the stores cannot pull the order from the website.

The products I ordered were delivered within 3 days via ground shipping. The website interface was organized and easy to use. and I was able to track my order until it reached me. Also, they offered free shipping on many products including the products I was looking for.

I went to a Best Buy store and they did not have the digital camera I was looking for. They helped me order it off their website www.Bestbuy.com and it was pretty simple. The site was having 10% off, so it worked out cheaper and the guy at the store was able to waiver the shipping charges. Customer service in the store was good, delivery took a couple of days, but was worth it.

I purchased a clothes dryer on-line. I requested a delivery day and time. The store confirmed the time the day before delivery, the dryer was delivered on time by two men who saw I was disabled and unpacked and set up the dryer. No charge. It was that simple, I got what I wanted, at the best price around, free shipping and a bonus of wonderful delivery men. I bought a vaccuume the next week. I love Best Buy.

Terrible Customer service; unable to keep their word regarding shipping dates, etc. They charged my credit card in microseconds, yet my "in stock" computer which was to ship within "one to two business days" via 2nd day air is now supposed to arrive 10 days after I submitted the order. When you call their customer service, they claim they will forward the problem/issue to another department, and you will get an answer "within 24-72 hours". Can't even speak to a supervisor.
I intend to refuse shipment and tell my credit card bank to refuse payment due to their "who cares" attitude. This company has no idea how to handle customer service in a reasonable and sensible manner.
You are better off dealing with ANYBODY but Best Buy.

I recently bought a $2000 laptop online at Best Buy & picked it up at a local store so I wouldn't have to wait in lines (I did anyway for 25 min).
Anyway, my complaint is that 5 days after my purchase the price dropped $100 & also had a $150 mail in rebate. Best Buy Customer Care told me that they would NOT honor the new price since I bought it online - if I would have bought it in the store to receive their 14 day price guarantee. There online store does not have this policy.I told them that they should have this info in their website - I'm sure alot of people would prefer to go to the store for the guarantee (especially on expensive items).

I recently purchased a 37" LCD TV on-line from Best Buy. My preference was to purchase what I wanted locally but no stores had what I wanted in stock. Because I had read a lot of scathing on-line reviews of Best Buy I hesitated to purchase here. However a thorough search showed only they had what I wanted.
My experience with them was flawless. I ordered on-line on Sunday, picked my preferred delivery day (Friday) and got immediate confirmation that they would call me on Thursday to schedule my delivery (skeptical, I thought yeah, right).
Sure enough, the store called on Thursday to confirm my Friday delivery between 8AM and 10AM (skeptical still, I figured I would sit around all day on Friday waiting for my TV). Friday at 8AM (!!) BB shows up with my TV puts it right where I want it and the drivers even take my old TV upstairs to it's new home. Folks I will not hesitate to shop with BB this way again.

This was a few months ago. Plantation, Fl.33317 The BB online store showed the stereo speakers I got and price online and in stock at the store. But showed a regular price. ($90/pr) I went to the store and they were on sale for ($35/pr). I got interested real quick. But they were not in stock and had only floor models. I asked a sales person if he could order them for me (since I was not in a hurry)at the sale price. He checked the system and said yes. I call about 5 days later and the order had come in. A day later I went to the store and picked up my speakers. I little inconvenient but I got great quality and brand name speakers at a super price. I researched 10 websites and three other B/M stores over a week and they lost out.

I was in a hurry to get a DVD player, so I ordered one online from Best Buy and scheduled an in-store pickup. I waited until I received my email confirmation and then drove off to the store. It wasn't waiting for me when I got there. All in all, it took me about 20 minutes of waiting around. Still, I was able to get the player I wanted the same day with a minimum of trouble.
The 6-week "Netflix Pack" is horrible. What happens is that you order the service and it takes 5 to 9 days for best buy to mail out a brochure. When you get this brochure, you then can log in to Netflix.
I called Netflix, after being on hold for 5-10 minutes, the associate knew nothing about the service, he told me to call Best Buy.
I then called Best Buy. The telephone options are a joke and it took me several calls to get an actual person. When I found out that it would take 5 to 9 days before I could even login to NetFlix (I have to wait for this brochure), I told Best Buy that I wanted to cancel the service, and then I would simply login to Netflix. The associate said that she could not refund my money.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. What a joke. As soon as my 6 weeks are over I am going to cancel Netflix and go back to Blockbuster.
Won't sell laptop without purchasing extended warranty by populator ,Dec 21 '05
Went to best buy in Memphis at Wolfchase to purchase a laptop. Because I didn't want the extended warranty they refused to sell me a laptop. Manager was willing to let me walk without a purchase. This ordeal seemed so crazy I call Best Buy's HQ looking for someone to help make sense of the situation. No luck. The phone rep. called store manager while I was on the phone and defended his choice. Circuit City sold me a laptop hassle free. I will never set foot in Best Buy again.
My order was approved by Best Buy and the payment was charged to my Best Buy Credit Card, last minute Best Buy cancelled my order. I called customer service and was on the phone with representative Jing for 2 hours and I had to 3 way the Best Buy Credit Card Representative to sort the issue out. Jing refused to get me her supervisor, FINALLY after 1 and a 1/2 hours, she put her supervisor, Peggy, ID#2001807, and the Best Buy Credit Card Representative resolved the issue. I was being billed twice for the Protection Plan, but Jing, after an 1 1/2 hours failed to figure it out, and kept telling me that was an authorization charge and I will receive my credit in 2 weeks, when it only took her supervisor a few minutes to solve the issue. My order was cancelled and I was credited the correct amount of $1571.42, but I had to place my order again and I have to wait another 4 days for my order to be delivered. I have never received such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The only reason why I purchased this TV with Best Buy is because I have a Best Buy Credit Card, if I didn't, I would of purchased the same TV at Circuit City, because its $100 cheaper, but Best Buy doesn't match competitors prices. Best Buy needs to train their customer represetatives a lot more, and learn how to explain issues to customers. I will not order from BestBuy.com again! Read more
According to the website, the item that I ordered was in stock and available for pick up at my local store. About an hour after making the purchase, when I was supposed to received an e-mail with instructions on how to pick up the item, I received an e-mail stating that the store "could not find the item". The e-mail then stated that if I wanted to make further arrangements to get the item, that I should call OR I can do nothing and the order would be automatically cancelled in 6 days. I then received an annoying e-mail every day reminding me that I still need to make arrangements to get the item. The entire process was unacceptable! If the item was not in stock, it should not have been listed as in stock and the daily e-mails were unnecessary and very annoying. I was able to go to a local PC Richards to purchase the item. It was annoying to have to fill out a survey to complete my order. If I don't want to fill it out, I shouldn't have to. It wasted my time. Next time make it optional, preferably with some sort of benefit to me for filling it out. Read more

I liked the way the web site made a suggestion when I selected a DVD, it suggested the soundtrack. I didn't know there was one for this movie so I bought it too. Good strategy on Best Buys part and it worked because I bought both the DVD and the CD. Keep up the good work! Read more
