THEY DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE unless you live in a big city and their system can "recognize" the address...even for in-store pickup.
I live in a rural area and tried to place an order with them for in-store pickup, but their system said my zip code was not valid! Imagine all this time I've lived here and I don't know my own zip code! Contacted customer service, where their 2 reps spoke very broken English and were very hard to understand, and they actually told me I could not place an order, regardless of the fact that I was picking it up in the store! Not many companies would want you to take your business elsewhere, but BB did! Obviously they don't need or want new business and could care less about customer satisfaction.

Unreliable, would not shop on line again

Ordered a DVD recorder to pick up a store close to my home. Got an e-mail an hour after ordering telling me it was unavailable at the store I had booked (even though the web site advertised In-Stock when I placed the order), and I needed to call their 800 number. Spoke to customer service and located another store with my item, although not very close by, but it would have to do. The representative edited my order for pick up at the new store and told me I was all set to get it. While in traffic driving to the store, got a call from home that another e-mail arrived saying the player was in fact not available at the second store and I was supposed to call the 800 number again.
Turned around, went home, decided never to shop at Best Buy again. They apparently cannot sync up actual inventory with the claims of their web site and live customer service reps with any sort of accuracy.

Last place where I go to buy an item due to their worst customer service

Probably this is my least preferred store as far buying experience is concerned. Customer service is at the lowest and this is the place where promises are broken. Selection is great but return policies and servicing contracts are the worst. Prices are not so competitive. Strongly advise not to buy the extended service agreements.

worst customer support I have ever experienced

I logged on to place an order and the website kept advising that they were unable to locate my zip code for tax calculating purposes. About an hour later, I was finally able to complete the transaction. I did not receive a confirmation in my email so I called their CS center. The agents were horrible. It took 6 people to give me an answer. My order ended up getting back ordered. They took an authorization out for the amount close to $600. Then they took another one out 6 days later, then another six days later- and my item was still not delivered. I called their reps and they advised that until the items shipped, they would continue to charge every 6 days to ensure the funds were still available. They would not call and remove at least one authorization. It's is unfortunate that Best Buy has nice products and nice staff in the store, and that doesn't carry over to their online site and customer service reps. I cancelled my order. I have never had this horrible of service with other online vendors.

Company is too big for its britches

We experienced bad customer service in the store, asked to speak to management and management was rude and not helpful, would not allow a return of brand new purchase even though we wanted to exchange for more expensive item. Still have item and still disappointed with it. Camcorder did not work as described and when we took it back to the store they had the "geeks" inspect behind closed doors and came back with "its fine" assessment. We have a new baby in the house and are missing many exciting moments due to this aggrivation. We are not spending more money on another one and NOT shopping at "Best" Buy again.

Frustrated and very disappointed at Worstbuy

Online order I bought a tv with a massage chair last Nov.
To this day this chair is yet to come.
I've made numerous calls and emails to Bestbuy customer service and was told the order was simply cancelled.
The online service forwarded message to Promo dept and to customer service and to nowhere.

Best Buy-positively worst buy
bought a tablet PC which never worked, brought it to the store, found out it took them 10 days to ship back to repair outlet. It was just received at repair outlet 3 days ago (today is 10/1 dropped computer off on 9/13). I am not offered a loaner and not allowed to call the repair outlet. Worse yet, there is no accountability on the part of anyone, the primary motivation of the various staff I have talked to is to get me off the phone, directed somewhere else. Today, I was connected to a rather surly customer service "manager" (Paula) who informed me that the delay in shipping was that they probably needed a box to ship it in! she informed that she will file a corporate query and get back to me in five business days! What a company!

I had to return a broken MP3 player through the Best Buy Replacement Program. At first I was very happy with their service because the customer service people were seemingly very helpful. Four phone calls and over a month later I'm still waiting to have my money refunded so I can replace the item. I finally got my gift card in the mail from them yesterday. When I went to use it at the store I was told it had a $0 balance. When I called customer service they said they'd issue me a new card but it will take another month.

Best Buy Return policy is a joke

Best Buy's online/store return policy is ridiculous. I received Tiger Woods 09 for x-box 360 as a Christmas Gift, and tried to exchange it for Call of Duty, I had the Best Buy online receipt. The girl at the service counter would not exchange the two games. She would not give me a store credit, the only resolution was to return the gift and put it back on the person's credit card who bought it for me as a Christmas gift! Are you kidding me? What kind of return policy is this? Why would I want to put the return back on the gift giver's credit card, when I simply wanted to exchange one game for another? I have shopped at Best Buy for years and never had a problem. However, this experience has changed my mind, I can't imagine what it would be like if I wanted to return a TV, or Blu Ray player. In this instance, I did not open the game, I had the receipt, thought I did everything right. What a joke! With customer service like this it amazes me that this company can stay in business.

Uninformed and Dishonest

My wife and I purchased a second home computer. We went to Best Buy because we wanted information on home networking and connection sharing. The Best Buy representative insisted MSN supports home networks, allowing both computers to be on-line at the same time. They offered their $200 gift card if we agreed to commit to a two year contract for MSN Internet service. We agreed and then discovered MSN not only did not support home networking, but won't even speak with you if you admit you have a home network. Best Buy wouldn't help us with the issue and MSN, their partner in this scam, denied us release since it wasn't a MSN employee who gave us our information. Best Buy lied and cheated us.

I KNOW THAT THEIR ORDERS ARE SHIPPED 2-3 DAYS AFTER PLACING YOUR ORDER. So I know I've always received my item on time.

Everything was good. Only thing that might be improved was the delay at the store for pick-up. The store was not busy; they only had one person at the pick-up location and she was busy with another problem. I waited 30 minutes before someone else offered to get my items for me.
