I am a very disappointed customer. I ordered a Canon Power Shot S1 IS camera in early February including several accessories. The entire order was close to $550.00.
When it was finally received almost 8 days later, they sent me the wrong memory chip. I talked with customer service 3 times now and still do not have the chip. I returned the wrong one the day I received it and they would not ship the correct one until the received the wrong one. Is this customer service???
They received the wrong chip on Feb 22nd per their customer service folks. Here it is March 1st and I'm still waiting for the correct one. I was skeptical at first. Price seem too good. I called all other stores w/ cheaper or same price and they were all scams - either out of stock or just rude. Blue switch was direct. They did try to cross sell accessories. I ordered a Sony dvd101 and paid extra for 2 day delivery. I received a confirmation email telling me to call in to confirm the order. I did and they confirmed my credit card and such. Confirmed my purchase - making sure I got a new (not refurbished) model made in Japan (not China). Salesman did try to sell me accessories, a bit zealous, but not pushy. The order was shipped and received as promised. I had to call in to get the FedEx tracking number. Overall, it was a good experience and I will buy again from them. In fact, several of my friends are going to buy from them.

Beware this merchant!!! After placing my order for a digital camera, Blue Switch Digital called me back with "an offer that I couldn't refuse" on a battery charger for $50 for a recharger that supposedly retailed for $129.99. Problem is that the recharger can be purchased anywhere for $30. So beware strong-arm tactics on accessories! In addition, the "high speed" flashcard that I purchased turned out to be a normal speed flashcard. After getting $20 ripped off and misled on the flashcard, I'll never buy from them again.
Customer service - Excellent. Both Mark and Manny were extremely helpful in answering any questions I had the day before I placed my order, and they were both very polite!
Order accuracy - Perfect. Received everything as pictured.
Delivery speed - Using Fedex ground, package was shipped on a Friday, received order on the following Tuesday. Way quicker than I had imagined!
Overall satisfaction - 5/5. This was the best experience I have ever had ordering anything online. They went above and beyond my expectations! The Blue Switch Store should be commended for being a customer friendly with superior service and quality that beats large-name competitors both with price and products. I had a very positive experience both with customer service as well with the merchandise (digital camera) that I purchased. My overall experience was great. Blueswitchdigital had the best price by far on the Canon EOS Rebel Digital Kit. I had tried to purchase this camera from several other online stores only to find out they weren't selling the full U.S. retail package. Be careful of the "foreign" or "body only" rebels on other etailer sites. I placed my order over the phone because I wanted to talk to someone to make sure I was ordering the real deal. The order was quick and easy without any pressure to buy anything else. The only problem with the transaction came because I placed my order over the phone. Since I didn't place my order online, I didn't receive any order confirmation. I called a couple times after placing my order and was not successful in receiving an order confirmation. The shipping took a long time too, but it's just because I'm on the west coast.

I Selected this merchant because of their rating and price/product availability - even though slightly higher than lowest price. I bought a camera, battery pack, and flash cards. The site indicated free shipping, as did my basket. Following my order, I was charged $30 for shipping. When product arrived, only camera was in box, but invoice indicated all items should be in box and my card was debited for all items. Despite MULTIPLE attempts, merchant does not correct error or even communicate status. Charges remain on my card - I have since had to purchase the other items elsewhere and learned they were about 1/3 the price the merchant was charging.

Camera became defective after less than six months and their return policy does not honor one year warranty. Have to now deal directly w/manufacturer to try and get camera replaced.

Well, for the reviews I read about this company, I wasn't sure. In fact, I accidently placed an order for Canon A85 @11/7 evening with free shipping! Called right after to an 800 number to "speed up" shipment. Well, just wanted to sell me some accessories which I declined. Then I realized I ordered from a wrong website. But decided to give it a try.
Card charged 11/8. On 11/9 received shipment confirmation e-mail for ground shipping sent 11/8 with FedEx tracking #. Estimated on 11/11. Yes, it arrived this morning!

Blue Switch Digital is practicing "Bait and Switch". While the price of a Canon PowerShot A75 digital camera is listed at $167 a several shopper sites, their site lists it at $179. I called their 800 line and was told that they had received a price increase for Canon, but had "just not updated the shopper site listings yet".
I had a great experience shopping at Blue Switch Digital.

I ordered the canon powershot a95 big apple package from BSD on a Sunday night. The package included free shipping. An order confirmation notice was received the next morning along with instructions to verify the order by telephone. BSD's operating hours are limited, so I waited until around 11:00 am to call them. I got through immediately and confirmed my order with Manny, who was polite, and did try to 'softsell' me some additional accessories but took no for an answer without further hassle. I then received a FEDEX shipping confirmation by email and was able to track the item on the FEDEX website. I received the items in 3 days (even though the standard shipping window was longer). All items received were correct, packed in peanuts and undamaged. The price of the camera was one of the lowest I could find on the net (consider shipping charges when you shop!). I purchased the additional starter package even though the price of the items was average - I live in a rural area and convenience is also a factor. Overall, my experience with BSD was very positive. Hope this helps in your decision.

Having read reports of pressure selling, I was determined not to buy more than the item I wanted which was a Sony DSC-T3 camera. I phoned Blue Switch Digital and dealt with their Salesman named Manny. He was most helpful and very knowledgable. He did recommend a 128mb Sony memory stick and since the camera comes with limited memory I agreed to buy this provided it was at a good price. In total I got a very good deal and the goods were delivered by Fedex 2 day service. I ordered goods on Wednesday afternoon, they were dispatched that evening and were delivered to me on Marco Island on Friday 5:30pm. All promises were kept and I can recommend you get in touch with Manny for good service.

I ordered an extra battery for my digital camera when I spoke to the sales person KEN he said I will give you Sony battery for 99.99 Sony NP-FR1 Info Lithium Battery which is 129.00 in the market. But when I opened box I got other brand which may be much cheaper in the market. They cheat on the Accessories. Be careful.
They work with you but they waste your time.

I ordered a canon eos digital rebel from blue switch and was very happy with the service. price was best i could find. website clear and generally easy to navigate. the initial contact i had by phone was quite pleasant and polite. the followup call i had to make to confirm my online order was a little annoying because it was obvious that it was primarily an attempt to get me to buy accessories etc that i didn't want. the fellow i spoke to was a little pushy but maintained his cordiality through all my rejection of his offers. camera arrived quickly after that. all in all, i would order from blue switch again no hesitation.
TERRIBLE. The worst of the worst. They won't let you get away without buying warranty and other stuff. I give them 0 out of 100. The worst bar-none because they charge more after making the order. $700 camera will land you $1000 in the hole. Mark, Stevie..it does not matter who they are. They will not help you. 5% cancellation charge means they make $45 dollars of of me if I cancel it or $200 loss on my part for paying too much. I am so Frustrated right now. I have made complaints to my usual organizations and watch groups. These guys got to get shut down to prevent people from getting scammed.

Everything worked great, they are not one of these highpressure camera shops out of Brooklyn. I did have to do a phone confirmation which seems silly with internet ordering but it seems all these electronic shops require it. And although they mentioned them, they did not give me the hard sell on accessories. They also did not try to switch it with a non-US camera without warranty. Because of a Jewish holiday, there was a question as to whether I would receive it within the 10 business days promised, I explained that I had a flight on that very day (the 10th business day from my order), so they upgraded my shipping at no cost as they were worried I might not receive it in time. Customer service was very good
