Before shipping the order Butterfly photo called to verify the address and item ordered. During the phone call they asked if I was interested in other items, but were not high pressure about it. After the call the camera was shipped immediately.

I placed the order on their web site.I got a call the next day advising me that the camera had been sent. It arrived across the continent in 4 days.
There was no push by sales person to get me to buy accessories.

For myself, the most important reason for choosing Butterfly Photo was shipping cost. Even though overall purchase price was slightly more than one other merchant, seeing that Butterfly Photo didn't charge rediculous prices for shipping is what made me choose them.

The setback that I had was my bank thought that the purchase might be fraudulent and rejected the charge. After fixing the problem with the bank, I re-submitted the order and everything came soon enough for my trip.
They handled the issue perfectly.

The camera lens was delivered with a small chip in the glass. The camera wasn't what I expected, and when I emailed about a return, I was told that I had to call.
When I called, I had to talk to two people, and then they sent me a form which I had to complete, and pay a 10% restocking fee, and return shipping. It will cost me $150 for the return, plus $30 FedEx shipping.
So for $180, I got to try the camera, which is actually overrated.
