I would never do business again with these crooks!

These People Suck! I specifically asked if the product was in stock and was told twice it was. I placed the order with the understanding I needed to receive it within 6 days. Again I was told no problem. I then paid for 3 day shipping to ensure the product would arrive on time. It took 4 calls to confirm my product shipped. It took 3 days and 5 more calls to get a tracking number. Each time I was promised a call back, but none were ever received. Finally I was given a shipper and tracking number. The number was invalid. I called the shipper and they had no pickups from Butterfly within a week of the shipping date they gave to me. I called 4 more times, to rectify with customer service, and still no where.

I have been trying to get a PV-GS200 camera for 2 months. After to being totally stuffed around by the Liars at Video-Direct and DataVision, I had one last attempt at getting this camera before I departed on my holiday. Thankfully, these guys had the camera to me less than 24 hours after I placed the order. Thanks to butterfly photo I will now be able to remember my much awaited Vacation

I chose this seller because they appeared to have rather good ratings on most rating sites. Not so for me at least.
I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel on Wednesday. After recieving no emails about the status of the item I finally contacted Butterfly photo on Sunday. The rep said the item was still in processing, 4 full days after being ordered. Right after that he offered to sell me an extended warranty, battery, and lenses for the item. Right.
This is a very typical online seller from my experiences, look elsewhere before ordering from this seller.

I ordered a digital camera for my senior parents. That same evening, an agent called my parents and convinced them that they need more stuff for the camera. Feeling pressured, they agreed but was traumatized by the whole experience. I called the very next day to cancel the "extras" and heard what I suspected they would say, "sorry the order was already shipped." If I want to return, it will have to be at our expense. Why do they have to do solicitation sale after the order was already placed online? Nobody appreciates solicitation over the phone. This store sucks!

Ordered a Nikon D50 digital camera, which was advertised as "ships in 1-2 days". Ordered overnight shipping. Two weeks later, no camera -- however, my credit card was charged the day I ordered. No response to e-mail/telephone requests to cancel the order and reverse the charge on my credit card.

Ordered a Canon Powershot A80 digital camera with an accessory kit. The camera price was one of the lowest and surprisingly the accessory kit was well priced. I called my credit card company to create an alternate shipping address as I wanted it sent to my office. No problem. I received an email asking me to call Butterfly to clarify shipping address. They tried to sell me some other accessories and were polite when I declined. I did upgrade to a high speed 256 memory card. I would definitely shop here again.

Bought a Sony DSC-F717. A good deal on the camera and delivery was faster than expected. But watch out. Stay away from the accessories. The deals given on the camera purchase are taken away with off brand, inferior quality accessories. I bought a kit through them. Don't do it. Also, watch out for the call to confirm the credit card - it's a sales pitch that will suck in a novice.

One of my best on-line shopping experiences ever!

I recently purchased a Sony DCR-TRV80 Mini DV Camcorder from Butterfly Photo. It has been a very pleasant experience. One day after placing my order-on line-I was called to verify my shipping address and to offer me some specials. The camcorder and accessory pack, which included an extra battery, were apparently shipped that same day. I received an e-mail from them with my order number and the next day received an e-mail from Fedex with a tracking number. With the tracking number, I was able to determine the exact day of delivery. The camcorder worked great; however, the extra battery did not work. I called customer service who gave me a return authorization number along with return instructions. The replacement battery arrived within a few days and worked perfectly. I highly recommend Butterfly Photo. I will be shopping with them again!

Order was accurately and speedily processed. A phone call needed to be made to confirm the order, but other than a perfunctory question about whether a spare battery was needed, no high pressure sales. They upgraded shipping to 2nd day air for free without being asked. I got my camera in 3 days, excellent shopping experience, great price, would shop there again.

Good experience. Ordered a Minolta DiMage A-1 by internet. Camera shipped on time and at the internet price. Well packaged and with USA warranty. I was worried after cancelling orders at Cameratopia(sleeze)and Broadway Photo(slime). Would order again.

False Promises over and over

Called order in because I wanted to verify stock and expedite delivery. The guy that took the order assured me the LCD TV was in stock and it would ship expedited delivery within 24-48 hours. (I paid extra) When the unit arrival due date came and went I called, the unit had not shipped, they assured me the unit was shipping that day. When they missed the target AGAIN I was told the unit was shipping today. Well, today never came and I canceled my order. Don't sell what you don't have in stock AND DON'T LIE ABOUT SHIPPING IT!

I tried to order just a camera from Butterfly via phone. The rep tried to sell me on several accessories which is good salesmanship. I politely declined and I could tell he was irritated. He put me on hold for what seemed like 10 minutes and never came back. I finally hung up and called Digital Foto. They took my order and the camera arrived in 3 days.

Paid extra for overnight shipping, but it took three days to arrive. After high pressure up-sell phone calls from them, late arrival of my items, poor packaging, and a return policy that requires you to call them (so they can try to talk you out of it) for a "return authorization number" and suffer a 10% restocking fee--no way, won't do business with them again.

Some two days after submitting my order, I received an e-mail message asking me to phone. When I did, I talked to a salesman who offered other products. I bought some that I was going to buy anyway, but without being able to check prices on the Web, as was my intent. After that delay, which I was not aware was going to occur, I received my merchandise in good time and excellent condition. Butterfly gives you the option of immediate delivery, but does not make clear that the alternative is a talk with a salesman. I'd like that option made clearer at the beginning.

i found the camera that i wanted for 100 bucks less than the stores near my home. a day or two after the purchase i was called by butterfly photo to be informed that the order was being shipped and to answer any questions I may have about the camera. Very nice. I recieved the camera and the accessories i had ordered two days after the phone call, well ahead of schedule and in perfect order. I am very happy with every aspect of the transaction.

My experience in buying a camera & accessories was very positive. After comparison shopping, I felt that Butterfly Photo offered the best price. The followup call to confirm the order could delay shipment, but the rep I spoke with, Justin, was knowledgeable & helpful. He upgraded my order with an option I requested & ensured I received my order quickly. Warning: you need to sign to receive the order! Customer service quickly sent a part missing from the factory box. I recommend Butterfly Photo.

Everything went great except for tracking. I never received email and when I checked status at website, message said being processed. I received order as promised over phone but could never track it to verify. Service rep was very helpful.

then second time I used the online web and it had a cookie error.
