Butterflyphoto.com is the internet version of 'bait and switch'. They make it possible to place a order on their website but they want processs or finalize the order until you make a phone call to them so they can try and sell you some additional merchandise. I will not do business with this merchant again. If they want to be really honest, then get rid of the internet order process all together and just put their "800 number" on the website for everyone to call in and order and see how their customers respond to that technique! Butterfly Photo had one of the best prices for the HDTV models we shopped for. Previously, I had shopped online and bought cameras and another television from them. I knew the customer service was highly reliable. I was pleased that they processed my order within 24 hours and the TV arrived in perfect condition within 48 hours of placing my order. The day after I placed my order I received a phone call from a rep who tried to talk me into upgrading the memory card that came with the accessory kit. He said the card wouldn't perform well with my camera. I asked him why the card was even included in the kit if it wouldn't perform with my camera, and he got very defensive. I don't like being harassed into spending more money when I was already spending hundreds. Still, this was my second purchase from Butterfly and I will probably use them again in the future. Being able to ask a simple question was very important to me. The purpose of my question was to verbaly verify if the product was indead new, unopened, and factory sealed. I was able to do this very effectively with a simple call -- it gives me a much better feeling to be able to do that over the phone (rather than email) because it allows me to test the responsiveness of the merchant. Butterfly photo met that requirement at the lowest market price. I will not only look to them for my future camara needs, but I will also recommend them to friends and family.
In other words, they have earned my word-of-mouth advertising. The only problem is availability on Saturdays, but if that is for religious convictions then
I understand -- that is the only reason I rated that as good instead of excellent.
