I received the wrong item (which was heavily used), the wrong accessories and the final shipping cost was twice what I was quoted. Very misleading.

Overall the customer service was fairly responsive. A couple of minor problems with the purchase -

1. web site didn't say the camera I ordered was an open box item
2. the battery listed with the camera was wrong

The camera arrived on time and was in good working order. However, the company didn't send me the right battery for two and a half months. And only after I disputed the charge with my credit card company.

All in all, everything's in good working order. But the purchase certainly wasn't the smoothest online transaction I'd ever experienced.

They shipped me a used Canon Power shot S45 in a generic Canon box. They switched the 32 M factory memory card with an 8 M memory card. No camera warranty card was included. To top it off, the macro auto-focus didn't work. Images at wide angle were fuzzy from 4 to 9 inches away from subject.
They were terrible.

I am very happy with my service. When I called Daniel at extension 113, I was annoyed because I thought that I would not get my camera in time for the Thanksgiving break as I was not expecting to have to confirm my order and had paid for 3 day shipping. Daniel was very helpful and had great recommendations for products that made my experience more fulfilling. Oh, and he upgraded the shipping and promised I would have my cameras and accessories by the Friday b-4 break. Thanks!!!"

I bought a refurbished canon camera from this place. I paid $370 dollars for it. The camera came and all of the labels were cut off of the box. The camera had a black dot on the main lens. I called up and the owner got irate with me that I wanted to return it. He finally agreed of course minus the fifteen percent restocking fee. This place makes a business out of cheating its customers. Please don't buy from this place. Make sure you use a reputable seller when buying cameras. I learned my lesson and a place like this should be put out of business.

After deciding to purchase a Canon Powershot s500 (great camera) I then spent some time searching out an online retailer. After reading the reviews and browsing the web sites of quite a few, I finally landed on CameraForLess They seemed to have good reviews, the price was right, the site seemed to state things in a straight forward and honest manner, So I dove in, ordered the camera online Saturday, it shipped on Monday(earlier than I expected) and arrived on Friday. Exactly as promised. No phone calls to buy accessories, or that the item wasn't in stock, or the ship date was delayed or problems of any kind. And that's the way I like it. I would not hesitate to purchase from this store again. Highly recommended for any apprehensive-online purchaser!!!

Cameraforless is where my business will go.

I found a Nikon D90 with 18-105 vr lens with the kit at Cameraforless for 1049. Yeah, right. Everywhere else it is $1500. I checked Cameraforless's website, and then I noticed that most items were priced right in the average range. It appeared that they were using this kit -- the one I wanted -- as a price leader. Target, Ritz, -- they do that ALL the time.

To be sure, though, I called Eddie at Cameraforless. You will not believe the professionalism of these people. They dealt with me as though I was the only customer they had ever had. I felt very special. I had asked for overnight shipping, and they called me TWICE before the cutoff time to ensure that all the information was correct.

Still a little leery, though, I placed my order online.

I received EXACTLY what I ordered, with a Nikon NFL cap include to boot! In perfect shape, Nikon US Warranty -- everything just as advertised.

In my future I plan on lights, lenses, etc, and I need a vendor I can trust. I have one now. Cameraforless is where my business will go.

I ordered my a Sony Dcrtrv-350 CAMCORDER on Monday around lunchtime. It arrived at my door on Tuesday... almost exactly 24 hours later! Wow. The camera is very hard to ind brand new and complete so I called and asked the saleperson to check the contents of the box to be sure... he did that while I was on the phone. Great service

One recommendation I have for you is that I would make the ups delivery able to be signed for, if the purchaser signs their slip and asks. I missed ups for 3 days, and it was because camerasforless had asked me if they should add signature required because i kept on being worried about ordering on the internet ...so even when I requested that they don't leave the product,and i needed to go down and pick it up, I love the product, the price and the quick shipping, though!

A malfunction happened with the camera after 1 1/2 weeks, however it may not have been no ones fault. Items can have a malfunction either new or refurbished. Canon is fixing my camera with not a charge. Great business. Thank you.

I was a little apprehensive to order on-line because of all problems that I've heard could occur - scams etc. But with Cameras For Less everything was fine. I placed my order using their user-friendly website and within a few days it arrived brand new and well packaged.

I ordered a Samsung SCD23. I paid extra to have it shipped in 3 days. I got a call the next day telling me that the camera was out of stock but I would have it by the end of the week and that I would be credited for the extra money I paid for express shipping. The camera arrived about a week later. When it arrived, the product box had been opened and the instruction manual and CD were missing. On top of that, the LCD display was damaged. I contacted the company for a replacement. When I requested a replacement I was told that they would only replace the camera body and not the complete product. I told the representative what I wanted in order to be satisfied (a new, complete camera in an unopened box) and he was unwilling to fulfill my request. So I returned the camera. I am willing to pay a few extra dollars for a NEW product and adequate customer service.

Terrible Experience... They must be stopped

I ordered a Sony DCR-TRV460 about 1 month ago. After paying about $26 for shipping/handling and mandatory "insurance" they sent me a model TRV360. I complained that they sent me a less-expensive model lacking the features I needed (like ability to play analog 8MM, touch screen display, digital photo capable, and remote control). "Dave" says they are essentially the "same camera" and they would "credit me a few dollars". Eventually after extensive complaining, e-mails, letters, and the threat of disputing the credit card charge, they agree to exchange it for what I ordered and paid for. One week later I received an open-box TRV-460 that smelled like an ashtray for some reason. It seems to work so I think I'll give up while I'm not too far behind. Their business model is to make money from shipping and return charges. Never again.

Avoid this trap. They speedily take your order and payment then disappear. They sent only part of my order then failed to respond to phone calls or emails inquiring about the rest of the order. As a result, I had to repack and return the incomplete order, then deal with my credit card company about reversing the charges. Save yourself the hassle.... you now know beforehand that they are dishonest.
