Worked out well

This was uncomfortable at first, but it worked out well. The order process went really smooth until it was time to print the confirmation and receipt, when there was an error and I couldn't get to the receipt. There was no e-mail confirmation, either, which had me worried. When I called the next morning (Wednesday), however, a live person was available to let me know that the order was in, the first UPS notification was later the same day, and the box showed up on Monday.

Absolutely the worst e-business experience ever

Absolutely the worst e-shopping experience I have had. Ordered items in early May and still had not received them by early August. Campsaver kept promising to get me the items I ordered, but they never did. They had a load of excuses, and kept telling me my shipment was in the mail, but never shipped it at all. When I complained, they told me to "do what I had to do" and did nothing to help me at all. I will never deal with this vendor again and nobody else should either.

I ordered 5 items and they said that all were in stock and ready to ship. A week later I get an email that 1 item isnt in stock. So I remove the item from the order and tell them to ship the rest of the order. A week later I email them and they send me an email stating that they will resend the order to the warehouse and possibly send the order today. I cancelled all my business with them. Total Amateurs. Avoid at all costs unless you like to wait weeks for stuff.

We had a very positive experience with campsaver, unlike some of the other reviews on this site. I was dubious because of some of the negative feedback but that anxiety proved unfounded. We found the tent we wanted and at a very decent price. We were placing an international order to the UK and when I phoned they were very helpful about figuring out the shipping charges (for a 5 lb package about $43). They stated delivery would be 5-10 business days and it arrived in 7, so shipping time was also accurate. The tent is wicked, and we can't wait to use it. The guys in customer service were always helpful when we called. But be warned: if you live in the UK you have to pay approx. 12% VAT on purchases of more than £100 upon delivery. This is not the fault of campsaver - it's the annoying british gov't. It does add to the final price, though, so it's something to keep in mind.

Easy to use site, everything shipped quickly, but box not packed well, UPS trashed it, and several items lost in transit. Email to support and they shipped replacements right away via Priority mail. Nice!

I ordered the Cloudveil Koven ski pant from Campsaver. I live in Japan, and you have to contact them in order to choose a shipping method. We agreed on UPS and a very expensive expedited method that would arrive in time for a ski trip. After waiting for 4 days I emailed them that I had never received a tracking number and my shipment was now a day late. After another 2 days they finally found the time to get back to me that they forgot about my order and rudely asked if I still wanted the pants. I shopped with them based on the positive feedback here, but I should have noticed the lower rated reviews. It seems when things go wrong with them, it really goes wrong. This is the first time I have been forgotten after placing an order through an online retailer. If customer service is as simple as serving a customer, then Campsaver.com is truly a failure as they did nothing for me. I was left with no ski pants to go an ski trip, and it is impossible to find a US size XL in Japan. Thanks for nothing Campsaver.

I bought the sleeping bag on Camp Saver because they had the cheapest price among internet stores. The website was slightly cluttered, but the customer service, shipping time, and invoice format were all great! I talked with a rep on the phone about my purchase after it arrived and he was friendly and answered my questions thoroughly and willingly.

I ordered a tent that after it arrived, I discovered that it was not as large as I desired. I contacted Campsaver, but they did not carry the larger tent by Marmot, so they told me to return it (no questions ask). I returned it in its original packaging by UPS and they promptly gave me a refund on my credit card. I only regret they did not carry the product I needed, so I had to purchase it from another company.
