We purchased a refrigerator from Carlson's. First they were delayed for two weeks in getting the side panels needed. The provided a "free loaner" refrigerator, which they are now trying to bill us for. Our condo presents some delivery challenges, so ...

I would definitely order from Carlson's Appliances again.
by kintexas ,Jul 18 '07
I ordered a Frigidaire range from Carlson's Appliance in Santa Monica. The person I talked to on the phone was very helpful, gave me the information that I needed, and had the range shipped the same day. I received it in about 3 days (shipped from California to central Texas), sooner than I expected it. All was in good order.

Carlsons salesman (Dave) refused to promptly resolve new defective washer
by regbuyer ,Sep 18 '09
Incredibly unprofessional!! Salesman "Dave" sold me a Frigidaire stack washer/dryer system. Following delivery, installation and home testing, we found the washer to be defective. Carlsons salesman, Dave, refused to replace the washer claiming that he had no more in stock and that I'd need to wait for a repair service to come out and find/fix the problem. Repair service determined that the cold water valve was defective and ordered the part. Several days later, repair service installed the replacement part to find that it also was defective. Carlsons refused to have a replacement washer (of a different color) installed on a temporary basis and the repair service refused to go to Carlsons, remove a good cold water valve and replace the secoind defective valve in my new machine. Carlsons is apparently ordering a new washer for installation 2 weeks after installation of the first washer with no effort to provide a temporary solution so that abundant daily wash loads can be managed. Needless to say, I'll never use or recommend Carlsons again to our many westside acquaintences.

Fully satisfied
by lonelyjennifer ,May 23 '08
These guys are the very best. I bought a washer and dryer in 2006 and had what I thought was a major repair. A serviceman had given me an estimate of over $400. I called the store very irate and was connected with their spokesman, Brother Bob. He asked a few specific questions and quickly concluded that no repair was necessary and helped me to correct the problems over the phone in a matter of minutes. When I explained to him that I was recently widowed he even offered to make a personal visit to be certain all problems were eliminated. His customer service is extremely through.

premium prices with cut-rate service
by alisonlorraine ,Aug 18 '08
I felt that the salesman was only interested in making his commission. I went to the store with a list of model numbers and measurements, and nothing that he sold me actually fit into my kitchen. He had a long list of excuses, but basically in the end he just said, too bad.
I also waited three weeks for my stove - when I called to check on it he said "Oh, it was delivered last week and I forgot to call you". I would definitely never buy from them again.
These appliances are available from hundreds of places - service is the only reason to go to a particular store, especially if the prices aren't anything special. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the delivery guys were really nice and tried to be helpful. The sales guy was haughty and dismissive. As a customer, especially when the economy is rocky, I expect to be treated more considerately.
