Worst Customer service experience

Worst Customer service experience. I had bought a Sony T1 Camera from the store. And when I went back to return it, I faced a very unfriendly Customer service people and they started giving me all sorts of arguments so they can refuse this return.

There was no physical damage or anything to the camera or any accesories. But they gave all sorts of false arguments that they want all packaging including the one for USB wires and stuff. When I said I might not have them, they said they can't accept the return, as SONY will charge them 50 bucks if any packaging is missing from the camera. Later on, I confirmed with that Sales Rep to open another box and show me the packaging on the USB wire and there WAS NONE on it..

Overall a worst store to get anything, even if there prices seem competitive. If you don't respect your customers, what do you expect back. Overall very rude, and bunch of liars, Would never shop again at this store!!

Excellent big screen TV buying experience!

I just purchased a 61" Samsung DLP TV from electronics Expo and I was very satisfied with the experience. There was none of the bait and switch or high pressure sales tactics that are often associated with other sites that offer such low prices. I placed my order on a Sunday night and I received a shipping notification on Monday afternoon. There were some end of the line shipping delays with the freight carrier, but I blame this on the circumstances surrounding Katrina. The TV arrived in flawless condition and we are very happy with the purchase. Electronics Expo checks out well with Epinions, the BBB, and other rating sites due to a well deserved reputation. I would certainly deal with them again.

I ordered an Ipod and didn't realize it was a 3rd generation. When I tryed to return it for a fourth generation, they said I only had 7 days on returns even though it was unopen. I now notice that many customers have complained about returns.
I would not recommend buying from Electronics Expo.

Great delivery time, I ordered on Monday evening, and got my item Thursday morning. Item is exactly what I've been wanting at a substantially lower price. I would have payed close to $1000 for my DVD-cam at a local electronics store (Best Buy) but decided I would give this a try and got it for $300 less.... and that was with the shipping! Was never even called with a push to buy more items, and I was even expecting that, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Ordered TV and DVD player. TV arrived quickly but was defective - probably not EE's fault.
DVD never arrived after 6 weeks of waiting and calling.
Now stuck dealing with Samsung technical support for local repair; TV will be gone 2 weeks IF it gets repaired at all.

BUYERS BEWARE Worst Experience Ever No Customer Service !!!!

Buyers beware, ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! Call and get hung up on every time, recording saying busy call back later, then they disconnect line. Now that is real customer service. Next step try email, days later still no response. They list item will ship fast, yea right, Paid 5am one morning, they waited 7 business days to ship it, and 2 weeks later and they still never respond to your email.

I bought a camcorder here based on price and pretty high scores from other customers on the various rating sites. I needed it quickly and paid $30 to get 2-day UPS. The site claimed "ships in 1-2 business days" so i figured 4-day maximum. I needed it for a wedding in 6 days. Plenty of time, right? Wrong. 4 days after i had ordered, i started to wander why i hadn't seen the package the tracking number. I called them and got a recording that said they are too busy to answer the phone. Not even the chance to hold for an hour to talk to a rep. bye. click. Shocking!! I decided to cancel the order and go pay full price as best buy, but before i did i sent emails to them and they responded a few hours later saying my package was set to go today and they could upgrade my shipping to next-day air for free. So alls well that ends well... right?
My guess is they are probably growing too fast and haven't scaled their operations quickly enough. Still, i'll think twice before shopping here again.

My first time purchasing anything over the web and I am 50 years old. I purchased a 45" LCD TV

The experience was excellent, day after my order I received an e-mail confirming the order, the next day I received another e-mail with delivery date and tracking information.

The TV arrived 3 days early, from NJ to California, excellent service. I would and will recommend Electronics Expo to my friends.

I will never shop with Electronics Expo again. They never sent me an e-mail to confirm my order (as their website said they would). Checking on my order status online, two weeks after ordering it still said "New order." I called to find that my item had been returned by the shipper, so I asked it to be re-shipped. Waited two weeks - no product. Called for three days before getting someone to answer the phone. (An e-mail I sent during this time went unanswered.) Finally reached someone who couldn't tell if the product had been re-shipped and would have to "call me back." I asked for her supervisor but he was "in a meeting." Rep told me it would take 7-10 business days to put a lousy $36 back on my debit card. Almost a month after ordering, I have no product, no refund, and not much hope of getting either. Stay away from these people!

Absolutely the WORST! I ordered from them on 9/2 and then on 9/3, they sent out my order via UPS to my BILLING address instead of my SHIPPING address! The digital camera is now on it's way to Nevada even though there's a UPS exception to bring the package back to New York (since their store is in New Jersey, I thought it would be great to order close by!).

Because of Electronics-Expo's error, my digital camera will arrive to my place in New York on the 16th! That's 2 weeks for a package that should've came here in 3 days or less!

I don't think these people know how to read! Shipping address means SHIPPING address!

*Update- I requested a cancel on my order. Unfortunately, the package has to go to Las Vegas and then return back to their New Jersey store before I get a refund (which will be TWO WEEKS!). I'll let you all know IF I get that refund in full but in the future, I'm NEVER going to shop online at Electronics-Expo again!

They don't like honest opinions

I ordered an item on 8/31/08 and the item was not shipped until 9/8/08. I had my first delivery attempt on 9/12/08, so it took them over 10 BUSINESS days to get my TV to me. The delivery and ship dates were significantly different on the Amazon website. When I posted a factual comment and gave them a rating of 3 on Amazon, I received an email from Bruno the next day. He stated that he felt that the information presented in my comments was not correct and even after sending proof from the Amazon site, he continued to request my phone number.
Their customer service is terrible, their communication is terrible and if you post negative comments anywhere they will attempt to harass or bribe you into changing them.
DO NOT buy from this seller. If you need electronics, I would recommend Electronics Express. They ship quickly and they have great customer service.

Ooouch! it is a terrible to have contact with Electronic eXpo
I made mistake to order from Electronics eXpo. The order is already placed 9 days, but I did not receive any shipment details or tracking number. I had online shopping from different online stories like Zipzoomfly.com, Newegg.com, Etronics.com, Geeks.com and so and I always received my shipment information and products very fast. But Electronics eXpo disappointed me. I will never return here and will not give my friend to get this terrible problem! Please everybody do not contact with Electronic eXpo!

I am new the USA, just moved from the UK, and Electronics Expo service was excellent and delivery right on! I bought the Bose 123 systems and at the time they ran out of stock - straight away i received a phone call and they offered me the next level up in the Series at no extra cost - it arrived 2 days later. Excellent service overall.

I ordered a Sony DVD camcorder on 1/4/05 after shopping for price and then verifying the reliability of the retailer and that the item was in stock and would ship in 2 days.

I read on their on-line receipt that "The next time you hear from us will be when your order ships-out". That was the truth - I didn't hear from them. The day after I ordered, I checked their website to find that the item was now sold out. I emailed their customer service and sales departments and heard back from both on the following day that they were restocking and my order would/should ship within a week. That puts us out to 1/13/05. So far, I'm being patient. I will update on this good or bad when (if) I receive the goods.

UPDATE (1/12/05)

I received the product I ordered this afternoon. The product arrived fine, albeit a few days late. I would definitely look at this company for future orders. I received the camcorder I wanted at the best price I was able to find. I saved about $300 over the retail prices at Circuit City or Best Buy.

Received a Yamaha HTR-5890 DOA. Called customer service received a message mailbox full. Left 3 messages for a Mrs. Devito, No call back. Called a total of 4 times. Once I reached an actual human being only to be told one second and I will transfer you before I was able to get out a full sentence. I was transfered and the call dropped. I was able to get this item repaired by a local technician/friend at my expense. Price may be cheap, but expect major problems if item comes in DOA or incorrect. DO NOT USE THIS MERCHANT. BE WARNED!!.

Seemed to go smoothly. The UPS site didn't update the tracking information as quickly as I would have liked, but it was delivered on-time. It was a gift that the receipient has not opened yet, but everything appeared to be fine upon delivery.
